Jeff Van Horn was named the CFL's Strongest Man at the All Star Game when he won the farmers carry and got 21 reps on the bench (225 Lbs).
Former Cougars Signs With Pro Arena Team! Daniel Dumas, who played WR for the Cougars in 2008, has signed with the Fairbanks (ALASKA) Grizzlies of the Intense Football League (IFL).
Cougars In College 10 players from the 07/08 Cougars and 1 from the 06/07 squad have went on to play college football. That's a total of 11 players moving onto college ball in the Cougars short two years so far. The Cougars hope to continue sending players onto higher level teams including Arena Football, College, and of Professional Independent Leagues.
2008/2009 Cougars Tryout Information Sunday, October 12 the Cougars will be holding practice/tryouts at Linwood Park in Wichita, KS. A tryout fee of $25 is due at that time. Players will have a player fee of $200 and $125 for returning players. Starting time for tryouts is 3pm.
2008/2009 Practice Information Tuesdays- Film @ Team Office 6:30pm Wednesdays- Practice @ Linwood Park 6:30pm Thursdays- Practice @ Linwood Park 6:30pm *There is a $10 fine for missing practice. If that fine has not been paid within 10 days of the missed date, the player will be released.*
