Each senior received a personalized Tampa Bay Lightning stick celebrating their particpation in High School Hockey this past season. Each stick was signed by a Tampa Bay Lightning player.

Anyone interested in joining the ice team for next season and attends Mitchell HS, Sunlake HS, Ridgewood HS, Hudson HS or Gulf HS are invited to email the webmaster or call Mitchell HS Media Center 774-9234 in August  for more information. Pasco County boundaries are still being worked out. Information will be posted when boundaries are decided by the league boundary committee.

The ice hockey/inline hockey teams are private hockey club teams. These teams are not sanctioned by the Pasco County School District and is not affiliated with FHSAA or supported by J. W. Mitchell High School Athletic Department. The ice team is associated with the Lightning Conference Western Division League, SAHOF, FSHL and USA Hockey. The inline team is associated with USA Inline Hockey.
