Last game was the best game!

We played our last game thursday night against the Bucs. We went into the game with only ten skaters. I was not very optimistic for the outcome of the game. We got off to a slow start letting the bucs get a two goal lead in the first period. With eight min left in the first we got our first goal when Sams and lelliehei were racing up the left side and Siewert was breaking towards the front of the net when Lelliehei took a off agle shot that snuck through the goalies five hole. We started the second period down, but not out. The Bucs started off strong getting the third goal with 11 min left in the second. Down three to one we finally got serious and scored two goals back to back within one minute. The Bruins scored a total of four goals in the second period, and after the second we were up 5 to 4. In the third period our focus was not letting them back in the game. We scored two more goals and won with a score 7 to 4. Everyone seemed to play great. Siewert scored three goals for his first hat trick. Handeland scored one goal and had two assists. and Lance had one goal and three assists. It was a fun game and a great way to end the season. I wish that we could have won a few more games this year, but it was still very fun and played with a bunch of great guys. I will check and see how you guys do next year

3/25/08 2 Bruins voted into allstar game!!
     Billings and Siewert are the two Bruins who were voted into the allstar game on April 12th.

3/1/08 Back to Back games
     Now I have much more respect for professional hockey players. We have back to back hockey games, and I am so stiff I don't know how I am going to play tonight, and to think that NHL players do this all the time. Well I guess i will just get some rest and hope for the best tonight.

2/22/08 Siewert won't be a bruin next year :(
    I just found out that I have been accepted to Chicago's graduate program, and will not be able to play hockey in Minnesota. This is one of the happiest days in my life, but is also a little bitter sweet cause this means i will not be able to play next year. I thought I should give you guys a heads up.

2/17/08 All Star Game!!!
     Just found out that we are going to have an All Star Game this year for the lower level teams. I think this is awsome, so remember to vote for players and be a part of the process. It sounds like a great idea and cant wait to see it. As of right now it is going to be played April 12th from 11:40 to 2:40. I will add it to this websites schedule.

1/6/08 Bucs game rescheduled!!
    Our game against the bucs, will be played March 20th at 7:45 at Breck Ice arena...This could be an important game since the middle of the standings are very close, and we are only two games back.

    Our next game is this thursday against the diablos. They just came off and overtime win against the Buzz. Their current record is 4-3-0. They seem to be alot like the muskies in that they don't score alot of goals, but don't seem to allow many goals.

    New LOOK......I changed some things around on the website, I found it hard to read with the background blue. So i chanded it to a light grey color to be more easy on the eyes.   Some bad news, I (tom siewert) may not be able to play in our next game against the diablos. In the last two games i have been geting beat up, and has taken its tole. I am having alot of pain in my back and hip when i skate, and now have a bumb elbow. I am hoping to play, but don't know how effective i will be.

   Our next game is against the Muskies. The muskies don't score many goals, they only have 17 goals in six games. They do seem to play very good defens and have a solid goalie who can win the game for them. In the two games they have lost they were held to about 15-20 shots. This tells me that if we play a smart defensive game and keep the game close we have the ability to win this game.

    Our next game is agains Nemesis, and from their record they are a solid team. They appear to have solid goaltending, and good scoring. When they have had problems with ofther teams they have had few shots on goal. So if we are aggressive and don't allow them to get rebounds we can make this a close game. We played good defense aginst the Buzz, now lets continue that with the Nemesis.

    Our next game is against the buzz who have a record of 1 win and three losses, the same as us. This should be a good game since i played with mike Van Patten, Brian Dalton and Tim Ross, and know they are all good players. Lets go out and take alot of shots early!!   Lets be like tony danza and show them "whos the boss"
