Donks Legends Hang Em' Up:

At some point in life we are all told we can no longer play the game of baseball.  For some of us it happens ealier than expect.  For others, they are able to walk away on thier own.  It is with great sadness that the Donks report, Matt DeWolf, Kevin Davis, Parker Hageman, and Chris Chicoine have all elected to retire from the 18+ TCMABL.  Donks manager Ryan Lutzka had this to say about each individual.....

#2: Chris "Chicky" Chicoine -  Once the Padres folded, I made up my mind that we had to have him.  From the start to the end, Chicky gave everything he had.  I love ya Chick!  You did everything asked of you over the years.  I am sorry we could not get you the 18+ Title.  That said, it was sure fun trying!  "Chicky look good, Chicky play good!"

#8:  Parker Hageman - For the past three season, I have enjoyed watching Parker's smooth swing.  Parker owned 3B and the 5th spot in our line-up from day one.  Parker's knowledge of the game and genuine demnor will be very missed.  I will never forget the bomb you hit off the Stars at Van Cleve!   Thanks for everything buddy!

#18:  Matt DeWolf - The yin to my yang.  My brother from another mother.  The left handed version of me!  One of my baseball soulamtes!  What can I say brother?!?!  I still think to myself, what if you had choose to play for the Bloomington Twins or some otehr team?  Whatever the reason, I am happy you ended up joining the Donks!  Baseball has given me many memories, but one of my favorites will always be "The Game" in AZ.  You mad bro?!?!  This time the answer is "yes"....haha!

#20:  Kevin Davis:  How do you say goodbye to the best Donkey who has ever put on a jersey?!  From the very beginning, Davis has been the true leader of the Donks!  To be honest, the only reason I am running the Donks is because Davis turned down the gig.  I have so many memories through the 8 seasons we played together.  Most of them are of you coming up with the big hit.  The most recent being the walk-off HR against the Blizzard this season.  It will be a big adjustment for me next season without you there......now, who am I gonna call during the week to discuss the line-up?

To all 4 of you, thank you so much for making the Donks a priority over the years.  I know you all took time away from your families to play for us.  I can't begin to thank them as well.  I hope you all are able to make the EOY BBQ.  Please be sure to bring your families as I would like to thank them for everything they did to ensure you could play ball every Sunday.  I wish nothing but the best for you and your families.  I love you all very much and it has been a pleassure to play the game with you!  I love you all very much and you will be very missed!

Cheers,

Lootie

8/24/14:  Rams End Cardinals Reign:

The Donks would like to congradulate the EP Cardinals and Minneapolis Rams on fantastic seasons.  The Rams prevailed in the 2014 TCMABL Championship Game and ended the Cardinals chances of a 4-peat.  Hats off to the re-built Rams organization on their first ever championship.

8/17/14:  Second Round of Playoffs - Donks Fall to Bombers:

The rainy day summed up the feeling on the Donks bench at the end of the game.  The Donks fought hard but eventually fell to the #2 seeded Bombers.  The Donks had an early 2 run lead, which could have been more if not for a very strange call at home on a check swing ball/strike with baseloaded and two outs.  Regardless, the Bombers tied the score in the 5th inning.  The bottom of the 7th would prove to be where the game turned against the Donks.  With the scored tied at 2-2, the game was stopped due to a rain delay with one runner on and one out.  30-40 mins later the rain let-up and the teams took the field.  On the very first play a rocket was hit to 2B, but a throwing error led to runners on 1st and 3rd.  The Bombers would capatalize on the Donks error when McGibbon blasted a 3 run HR.  The Bombers added one more run to make the score 6-2.  The Donks showed some fight plating one run in the top of the 8th, but that would be all she wrote.  The Donks would like to congradulate the Bombers on a fine season, and wish them the best of luck next weekend when they take on the 3-time defending champs the EP Cardinals.

8/16/14:  First Round of Playoffs - Donks Down North Stars:

The Donks kicked-off the playoffs with their cross-town rivals the Minneapolis North Stars.  This game was over the moment it started as first year pitcher Luke Elifson was pure magic!   Elifson pitched a complete game 12K shutout, with only 1 North Star reaching third base during the game.  There weren't many offensive highlights for the Donks.  However, both Kevin Davis and Ryan Lutzka were hit twice by pitches.  That said, the Donks won 4-0 and advance to the next round to once again face the Minneapolis Bombers.  The Donks are still stweing over the Bombers earning the #2 seed by one run when the two teams met last week.  Look for a great game between the #2 and #3 seeds at NEAF tomorrow (8/17/14).

2014 Regular Season Awards:

The Donks would like to congratulate Pete Ridley off winning his 1st of what we hope is many Donks batting titles.  Pete hit an impressive .392 in the 9-hole.  Pete also lead the Donks in OBP (.492) and steals (15).   Look for Ridley to take over the lead-off position in 2015.  Nice work Ridz!

Donks veteran captain Dan Casazza had an impressive 2014 season, leading the team in hits with 28.  Dan also finished second in BB (13) to Lutzka who had 14.  Ryan Lutzka led the team in Runs Scored (22).  Matt DeWolf  laid claim to the "Bob Uecker Award for most HBP (5).

First year Donk, Emery Hull was an RBI machine leading the Donks in HRs (4), and RBI (19).

What would a Donks season be if Kevin "KD" Davis didn't lead some offensive categories.  Davis led the team in SLG (.628) and OPS (1.118).

The 2014 Donks pitching staff had arguably the best season in team history, only allowing 77 runs against all season.  That stat was good for the 3rd best in the league behind the Cardinals (58) and the Rams (69).

Donks newcomer Luke Elifson had the 4th best ERA in the league at 1.53.  Lance Logan led the team in victories (6), shut-outs (2) Ks (56), and innings pitched (45).

Cory Godel also was impressive in only 2 starts this season.  The Donks hope Godel will be a big part of their success in the 2014 playoffs.

Rounding out the staff is Brian Dott, a six year veteran, who pitched beautifully this season.  Dott had a 2.83 ERA and earned 3 victories.  Dott could have easily won 6 games had the Donks gave him any run support.  Dott is my vote for unsung hero this season.

Manager Ryan Lutzka would like to congratulate the Donks on a successful 2014 season, which saw the Donks win their most games in team history at 15.  However, those victories are behind us and in order to bring the Cup home, the Donks will need to win 4 more games!

Let's go get that Cup Boys!!!!!

End of Regular Season:  Donks Earn #3 Seed:

The 2014 regular season is complete, and the Donks have earned the #3 seed going into the American League Playoffs.  The Donks will face their cross-town rivals the Minneapolis North Stars at NEAF on 8/16 at 10am.  The Donks and North Stars have played a total of 6 games against each other, with both teams winning 3.  This weekends match-up will break the tie with the winner advancing to face the Minneapolis Bombers.  Get your popcorn, as this should be a classic match-up.

8/10/14:  Donks and Bombers Battle for NEAF and #2 Seed:

The last regular season series for the Donks came aaginst the Minneapolis Bombers.  The Bombers and Donks have shared NEAF as their home field for the past few seasons.  Needless to say, this series had huge playoff implications.  Coming into the game both teams had a record of 14-6, and were tied for the #2 seed in the American League.  Game 1 was a pitchers duel between Luke Elifson (SD) and Will Grodzicki.  After 5 scorless innings by both pitchers, the Bombers finally broke the scoing open.  With runners on 1st and 2nd and no outs, the Bombers laid down a perfect bunt which resulted in a throwing error to first, scoring two.  The Bombers would tack on a third run on a fielder's choice.  Those three runs gave the Bombers the game 1 victory with a score of 3-0.  Hats off to Grodzicki for shutting out the Donks (third time in 180+ games).

Game 2 was one for the record books.  The Donks knew that the only way to secure the #2 seed was with a victory of 3+ runs.  With the score 3-2 in the bottom of the sixth, the Donks knew they had only one chance to plate 2 runs to take the 3 run lead they needed.  Billy Hanson led off the inning by reaching first on the only Bombers error of the weekend.  Hanson then took off on a 2-2 count attempting a steal.  Dan Anderson laced a ball through the hole left by the 2nd Basemen.  A wild pitch would score Hanson, and move Anderson to 2nd.  Pete Ridley drew a walk, and Dan Casazza sac-bunted the two runners to 2nd and 3rd.  With one out, Donks manager Ryan Lutzka stepped to the plate with the chance to put the Donks up by 4 with a basehit.  The first pitch Lutzka saw was a fastball right down the heart of the plate, which he laced right back up the middle.  As luck would have it, the ball went right into the glove of the Bombers pitcher and he was able to double up Anderson at 3rd.  The Donks would take the field and close out a 4-2 victory to end the regular season.  However, they came up one run short of the #2 seed and a bye.

The Bombers are a classy squad and very deserving of the #2 seed.  The Donks hope they will see the Bombers again in the playoffs.  To do so, they will need to beat the #6 seeded North Stars next Saturday at NEAF.

8/3/14:  Donks Shell Shock Snappers:

The Donks headed into this weekends matchup against the Snappers posied for a sweep.  Game one got off to a shaky start as starting pitcher Logan gave up 4 runs.  However, in true fashion Logan settled in and did not allow another run for the rest of the contest.  Down 4-0, Lutzka walked, stole 2nd, and scored on a RBI single by Matt Shaver.  Heading into the the 6th inning the Donks were still down 4-1.  Emery Hull singled to left and the onslot of runs poured in.  Shaver once again came up big with an RBI single, and Parker laced a ball through the pulled-in infield.  Pete Ridley then belted a 2B over the out-stretched right-fielder to put the Donks ahead for good.  What a great team effort!  Donks win 6-4.

Game two started the same as Corey Godel gave up a 3-run HR in the first.  Godel, like Logan would settle in and pitched well enough to give the Donks a chance.  Down 5-0 heading into the 4th, Lutzka would once again get the Donks on the board by hitting a single, and eventually scoring on a RBI single by Davis.  Davis would later score to make the score 5-2.  The Donks tied the game in the 5th, with Ridley scoring on a 2B by Casazza, Casazza scoring on a single by Lutzka, and Lutzka scoring on a wild pitch.  The Snappers plated a run in the bottom of the 6th to take a 6-5 lead.  It could have been much worse had Pete Ridley not made a diving catch with two outs and bases loaded.  It was hands down the best catch in Donks history.  In the 7th, Emery Hull started the ralley as he did in game 1 with a single to right.  Davis and Shaver followed with hits of their own.  The Donks would tie the game with a HBP of Parker.  The lead came on the very next play when DeWolf legged out a potential double-play ball.  DeWolf then stole second on a savvy early jump.  With DeWolf at second, and Lutzka (NR for Shaver) at third, Billy Hanson delivered with a two-out 2RBI single.  All total the Donks scored 4 runs in the top of the 7th to take a 9-6 lead.  In the bottom of the 7th, the Snapper would load the bases, but came up short.  Donks win 9-6.

The Donks came from behind in both wins today and it took every player to do so.  The Snappers have a veteran team with a lot of experience, so to take 2 the way we did was a good feeling for the boys in blue.  Next up are the Minneapolis Bombers.  If we earn a split or sweep next weekend we will lock up the #2 seed and a first round bye in the playoffs.  So, the battle for NEAF has some serious playoff implications.  Let's get em boys!

7/27/14:  Donks Hand Cardinals 1st Loss of 2014:

This past weekend the Donks took on the undefeated Eden Prairie Cardinals at NEAF.  In game 1, the Cardinals sent Ike Banda to the hill.  Banda came into the game with a 7-0 record and a .18 ERA.  However, the Donks bats answered the bell and provided clutch 2 out hits throughout the game and ended up scoring 9 ERs against the league's best pitcher.  Kevin Davis and Emery Hull both had 3 hit games, with Davis providing a huge 3 run 2B in the 2nd inning.  Also, Dan Casazza, Dan Anderson, and Pete Ridley all collected 2 hits each.  Donks pitchers Foster and Dott combined to hold the highest-scoring offense of the Cards to just 5 runs on 7 hits.  Nice work!

Game 2 was a game the Donks let slip through their hands.  The score was 6-4, but the Cards plated 4 runs in the first due to a shaky start by Logan (4 BBs, 1HBP).  However, he calmed down and held the Cards to just 2 more runs.  All total the Cards only had 4 hits in game 2.  John Remakel pitched well enough to hold the Donks to 4 runs and earn the victory.  The Donks just couldn't find the clutch hits this game and it ultimately cost them the sweep.

The Cardinals are the bechmark for all other teams in the league.  Based on last weekend, the Donks feel very confident they can not only hang with the 3 time defending champs, but end their pusuit for their 4th.  We look forward to the possiblity of a rubber-match in the playoffs.  The Cardinals will likely earn the #1 spot and the Donks are hopeful they can earn the #2 seed.  However, we will need to win the remaining 4 games to do so.

The Donks begin their pursuit of the #2 seed as they travel to Smothers Field next Sunday to take on the Snappers.  Let's go get 'em boys!

7/20/14:  Donks Trip Up, Split with Cyclones:

The short-handed Donks dominated game 1 against the Cyclones on a beautiful sunny day in Osseo, winning 11-0.  Lance Logan pitched a gem, and Matt Shaver provided the runs.  Logan struck out 10, while only allowing 4 hits in a shutout perfromance.  Shaver went 3 for 3, with 4 RBI.  Also, Ryan Lutzka earned his 200th career hit for the Donks.

Game 2 seemed to going the Donks way as they got out to a 7-2 run lead heading into the top of the 7th.  The Cyclones have had a rough year thus far, but they rallied together to plate 7 runs to take the lead 9-7.  With two outs in the bottom of the 7th, Logan struck a 2B off the right-field wall to spark life.  Lance would later score to make the score 9-8.  However, that was all the Donks could muster up leaving the tying and game winning runs on 2nd and 3rd.  Donks fall 9-8.  Hidden inside this terrible outcome was a ray of light in Pete Ridley's 5 stolen base game.  Which happens to be a new Donk record.  Congrats Pete!

Next week the Donks welcome the 3 time defending TCMABL Champions and undefeated (15-0) Eden Prarie Cardinals to NEAF.  The Donks will need to bring their "A" game if they hope to ruin the Cardinals pursuit of perfection.

Donks Make Splash on League Leader Board:

With only 8 games left in the regular season there are a few Donks sitting at the top of the League Leaders.  Emery Hull leads the league in HRs and RBI.  Dan Casazza and Ryan Lutzka are 1 and 2 in the league with Plate Apperances.  Lutzka is 4th in Runs Scored.  Casazza is 2nd in Hits and 1st in Doubles.  Lance Logan is 2nd with 4 victories, and 5th in Ks.  Luke Elifson is 7th in Ks and 5th in ERA.  And wouldn't you know it, Matt DeWolf leads the league in HBP.  Nice work boys!!!  Let's keep it rolling!

7/13/14: Donks Sweep Blizzard:

The Donks increased their winning streak to 4 games this weekend defeating the Blizzard in both games at Lighted Field.  Game one was a 9am start time and the Donks bats seemed to be asleep.  Dan Anderson finally woke up the Donks when he blasted a 2B into the right field gap scoring his BFF Parker Hageman.  The Blizzard answered in the top of the 7th, adding one run to make the score 3-1.  Luke Elifson's hand was bruised when he stuck out his pitching hand to block a groundball up the middle.  Needing one out Ryan Lutzka made his second apperance on the mound  He recorded the out after facing 3 batters, and eventually was credited with the win due to a bottom of the 7th the Donks will never forget.  With one out, Matt DeWolf singled to left bringing Emery Hull to the plate.  Hull wasted little time and belted a towering homerun to deeeeeep left center tying the game at 3-3.  Not to be outdone, Donks vet Kevin Davis stepped to the plate and belted a walk-off HR to left center.  That was the first back-to-back HRs since the 2007 Tier-Two Championship game.  Nice win boys!!

Game 2 was not nearly as eventful as game 1.  The Donks took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first as Ryan Lutzka, hit a single, stole second, and scored on a DeWolf single.  That one run was all that was needed, as Brian Dott cruised through the first 5 innings only allowing 3 hits and no runs.  Newcomer Kyle Foster (formally of the St. Paul Saints - 2011) made his pitching debut with 2 scoreless innings.  Foster fanned 5 of the 6 outs he recorded.  Donks win 8-0.

The Anoka Blizzard were a tough oppenent, and have an extremely classy team.  Good luck to the Blizzard the rest of the season!

Next week the Donks look to extend their winning streak to 6 at Osseo HS against the Osseo Cyclones.  This is a homecoming party for Donks manager Ryan Lutzka, as he played his High School ball for the Osseo Orioles.  Lutzka hopes to record his 200th hit for the Donks this Sunday and looks forward to stepping between the lines at his favorite field.

Injury Bug Hits the League:  Donks no exception:

Rainouts and injuries seem to be the theme for the 2014 TCMABL Season.   Just this week reports have surfaced that both starting pitchers for the Coyotes (Matt Ruben and Roger Morrison) may be out for the remainder of the season.  Dan Nalepka of the Tigers is also possibly out for the 2014.  There are several other players around the league who have also suffered season-ending injuries.  The Donks are no exception.  Just this week, Craig Koterba rolled his ankle and tore ligaments resulting in a season ending injury.  Koterba had a solid first half and will be missed.  The Donks hope Koterba will be ready to hit the ground running next season.

Donks Career Milestones Achieved:

There are several career milestones that occured in the first half of the 2014 season.  In his 8th season with the Donks, Dan Casazza notched his 200th career hit, 100th career SB, and is closing in on his 200th Run.  In his 5th Donks season, Matt DeWolf collected his 100th hit for the Donks and is 1 Run away from 100.  In his 8th season with the Donks, Ryan Lutzka tallied his 100th RBI, 100th BB, 50th SB, and is 5 hits shy of 200 career hits.  And finally, Kevin Davis is 4 hits shy of 175 career hits, and 12 shy of his 150th RBI.  Congrats to the all the old farts mentioned above!  HA!

TCMABL All-Star Game Cancelled:

Due to the massive amounts of rainouts in the first half of the season the TCMABL Board elected to forgo the All-Star Game this season in an attempt to allow teams to play make-up games.  The Donks were the only team to not be rained out in the first half of the season.  A special thanks to Kevin Davis and Ryan Lutzka for showing up early every Sunday to get the field ready for baseball.  The end result is that the Donks do not need to make-up any games and can enjoy the nice long July 4th break with friends and family.  Have a great holiday break boys!  Our quest for the Cup continues on 7/13 when we take on the Anoka Blizzard at Lighted Field in New Hope, MN.

6/29/14 - Donks Sweep Krunch:

The Donks were back at home and hungry for a sweep to complete the first half of the season, and that's exactly what they got.  Game 1 was dominated by Lance Logan.  Logan threw a complete game (5 inning) shut-out, allowing only one hit.  The most impressive was Logan's 13 Ks of 15 batters.  There were several offensive highlights including Criag Koterba's first HR for the Donks, Emery Hull's line-drive 3R HR that may still be rising, and Dan Casazza's "heads-up" play to put himself in a game winning "walk-off pickle," scoring DeWolf to make the final score 10-0.

Game 2 was a dog-fight to say the least.  The Donks bats were ice cold and stringing hits together seemed like an impossible feat.  That was until pinch-hitter Kevin Davis stepped to the plate in the 5th inning and blasted his second HR of the season, plating 3 runs.  Luke Elifson started his 3rd game for the Donks and earned his 3rd victory of the season striking out 11 Krunch batters.  Also worth noting was DeWolf and Casazza's 2RBI perfromances.  We needed every run as the Krunch attempted a comeback in the 7th scoring 2 to make the final score 9-6.  Regardless, the Donks walked into the All-Star break with an 8-4 record and are currently in 2nd place in the American League.

A special thanks goes out to Eric Swanson for stepping-up and filling in at LF with three Donks OF's out this week.  Eric was quoted as saying "I'll just be a warm body and do what I can."  Well, Swanny went 3 for 7, scored 3 runs, and had 1 RBI.  I'd say he did much more than just provided a warm body!  Thanks Swanny!

Nice work thus far Donks, now let's attack the second half and earn a first round bye.

6/22/14 - Donks/Tigers - Pitchers Shine in Split:

The Donks visted the friendly confines of Fridley Field to take on a extremly focused Tiger club.  The series provided four outstanding pitching performances by Luke Elfison (SD), Dan Nalepka (FT), Ed Wigfield (FT), and Brian Dott (SD).  Game one matched up Elfison and Nalepka.  WIth the game tied in the top of the 7th Ryan Lutzka delivered the go-ahead and eventual game winning RBI with a seeing-eye single past a diving in-field.  Elifson was poised in his second complete game start/win for the Donks only allowing one run on a HR by Tigers IF #11 Groth.  Game two saw a pitching duel for the ages as savvy veterans Dott and Wigfield traded out for out throughout an extremely quick game.  The Donks bats went to sleep as Wigfield allowed only two hits in a complete game shutout.

The Donks have seen some talented teams this season.  The Tigers are a great mix of youth, age, and solid all-around ballplayers.  Good luck the rest of the way.  The Donks look forward to a potential rubber-match with the Tigers in the playoffs.

The Donks return home to NEAF to take on the visiting St. Paul Krunch this coming weekend and are excited to get back on track.

Donks Welcome Back an Old-Face:  Matt Shaver

Former Donks great Matt Shaver is back in the fold moving back from Boston, MA for the 2014 Summer.  Shaver was a big part of our success from 2010-2012.  His best season was arguably 2011 where he hit .412, 1HR, 22 RBI, and an OPS of 1.019.

6/15/14 - Donks/Rams Trade Punches:

The Donks and Minneapolis Rams were the only two teams to actually get their games in this Sunday due to the rain received on Saturday across the Twin Cities area.  A special thanks goes to the Donks players for showing up early to groom the field while standing in the rain.  The work was well worth it as the sky opened and the sun shined down.  Good thing too, because so did new Donk pitcher Luke "Big Country" Elifson.  Elifson struck out 10 on his way to a complete game win.  The only run plated occured in the 7th when the lead off hitter reached on an error.  Nice work Luke!

Game 2 was a straight-up dog fight.  The Rams got to Lance Logan early plating 3 runs on a few dunk hits in the 2nd inning.  The Donks answered with one run in the 3rd and called on Brian "Big D" Dott to replace Logan and keep the Donks close.  Dott answered in fine fashion, allowing 2 earned runs through the next 5 innings.  However, the Donks day was spoiled by the Rams.  In the bottom of the seventh, with 1 runner on, down by 1, 0-2 count, Rams thirdbasemen Paul McGrath hit a chin-high fastball over the left field wall  for a walk-off HR.

This was another great series between the long rivals.  The Rams are 5-1 and have a really good shot at being the team to claim the 2014 National League title.  If so, the Donks hope to have a rubber-match for the Cup in August.  Good luck the rest of the way to the Minneapolis Rams.

6/8/14 - Donks Sweeps Rays:

The Donks made quick work of the visiting St. Paul Rays, outscoring their oppoenets 24-3 in this weekends match-up.  In game 1, Brian Dott took the mound with his family in the stands, and gave the Donks 5 very strong innings, allowing 1 earned run.  In true fashion, Kevin Davis busted his slump with a HR to kick-off his 8th season in the navy blue.  Luke "Big Country" Elifson made his Donks debut with two solid innings to solidify the win for the Donks.

Game 2 was an absolute domination.  The Donks compiled 7 hits and 7 runs in the top of the 1st.  And with Lance Logan on the bump, the game was over as soon as it began.  Lance improved his overall Donks career record to an impressive 13-1.  Chris "Chicky Chicoine led the squad with a 3 for 4 day, which included 2SBs, 3B, and 3RBI.  Emery Hull and Dan Casazza added two hits a piece (Hull - 3RBI, Czz - 2RBI).  Matt "aka Yin or Yang" DeWolf once again proved he is all heart with another impressive perfromance behind the dish.  He also collected 3 hits on the day....not too shabby!

The Donks improved their record to 4-2 and look forward to a good match-up with the re-branded Minnepaolis Rams.  Good luck to the St. Paul Rays as they continue their 2014 season.

6/1/14 - Donks split with North Stars:

The rain could not stop the Donks and cross-town Minneapolis North Stars from playing ball this weekend.  A determined manager, Ryan Lutzka arrived at Van Cleve 2.5 hours prior to game-time to prepare the field.  It is amazing what a little hard work and diamond dry can do.  In the end the Donks and North Stars traded punches to each earn a split.  Several highlights included superb play by Craig Koetrba on both sides of the coin, a 6-run 8th inning to secure the win in game 1, and an impressive defensive performance by Matt DeWolf.  The North Stars are a rising team in the TCMABL, and are a tough oppenent.  The Donks wish them well as they continue their season.

5/31/14 - Dan and Jackie Anderson Take The Plunge, Literally:

This past weekend Dan married his long time best friend Jackie in Crosslake, MN.  One hour prior to the ceremony the Anderson wedding party gathered on a deck near the wedding location to take pictures.  To make a long story short, the dock could not handle the weight and both Dan and Jackie ended up in the lake.  Dan, I think it is time to lay of the PEDs and Bud Light....

5/18/14 - Season Opener - Donks split with Coyotes:

The Donks kicked off the 2014 seaon with a match-up against their new found rivals in the Cottege Grove Coyotes.  For the second straight season the Donks and Yotes played a well-fought battle at glorious NEAF #1.  The series ended in an epic walk-off hit by the Yotes to manage a split on the weekend.  Several highlights included HRs by both Emery Hull and Corey Godel, strong pitching perfomances for both Lance Logan and Godel, and a nearly flawless effort (1 error) on defense. Good luck to the Coyotes as they continue on this season.  The Donks are fully prepared for a future playoff game with the boys from down south.

5/4/14 - Pre-Season Scrimmage - Twins:

The Donks met up with an old rival in the Bloomington Twins to knock off the dust.  The Donks prevailed, but there is a lot of work to do if they hope to take home the Jon Garbacz Championship Cup come this August.

Donks Reload:  2014 New Players:

The Donks would like to welcome Craig aka "Kutts" Koetrba and Emery aka "M's" Hull to the 2014 roster.  Koetrba looks to make an impact with his bat and on the mound.  Hull brings his thunderous swing from across the border to make a splash in the TCMABL.  The Donks are more than excited to see what both these boys can do in-between the lines in 2014.

2014 Off-Season:  Wrist Curls and BP:

The Donks met up several times at the 10 Sports Dome in Long Lake during the brutally cold winter to get prepared for the 2014 season.  Special thanks to Hans Heggernes for meeting up for all Donks off-season workouts and infield meetings.  1, 2, 3....GO DONKS!
