Interesting Facts on the 27th Regt. N.J. Vols.

The 34 Star Federal Flag Carried By The 27th Regt. N.J. Vols. Was Made By The Women Of The Glenwood Baptist Church And Presented To Col. Mindil By Captain Bailey Before Leaving Newark NJ.  The Flag Had White Stars Instead Of Gold And Lacked The Standard Fringe As None Was Available.  The Flag Is Now In Remarkable Condition And Stored In The State Archives In Trenton.

From The Captains Desk:

We are happy to see all of our members come out to support our events, but please remember, this is only a hobby!  Your wife, family, work, etc must always come first!  We dont tell you that you need to make 1, 2, or all events to be a part of this regiment.  All we ask is that you answer our e-mails to let us know if you will be attending an event so that plans for scenarios, camp set-up, food, etc can be made.  Hope everyone can attend our local events for 2009
