the 27th Regiment N.J. Vols. Co. F
The 27th Regt. N.J. Vols. Living History Group was formed in the winter of 2003 from a dream that started with the "Hackettstown Grand Review" in 2000. Men from Co E 11th New Jersey, 33rd NJ, 8th New Jersey and other groups have banded together to fill in the "local" living history gap that existed here at home. Re-enactments are fun, but there is so much lacking locally. The schools are where the new recruits are to be found, let us teach them the History and mold their minds. The 9th Virginia was started by Dave Steele many years ago and 'kept alive by Dave alone. The 27th NJ is proud to have the 9th Va become part of our family and will enrich our school programs 100%.
