Beat The Brakes Off 'Em is a summer speed clinic designed to improve literal and game speed for all athletes. The different drills are designed to improve footwork, agility, starting, stopping, and cutting speed, explosive power, and quickness...all of which are critical to every position in every sport. June 10, 2009 Thank you to all of the organizers, volunteers and participants of THAW BALL 2009! Lois Brink did an amazing job of organizing the golf tournament, reception and auction--Thank you! Thaw Ball wouldn't have been possible without the help of Steve Larson, Coach Robert Romero, Anzo Phelps, and all of the parents and players that participated in any way with the tournament--Thank you! A special thank you to the particularly generous volunteerism by parents of graduates-- Kathleen and Kyle Schroeder, and Diana Crew! East has a strong women's lacrosse program, a program that continues to grow and get better every year, because of the exceptional community support, and the dedication of the parents, players, alumni and coaching staff. It makes us all proud to be part of the Angel community. Thank you to all of you who have given so generously in so many ways. Go Angels!!!
June 2, 2009 Important Updates--Outlaws First Clinic for Girls! DENVER OUTLAWS FIRST WOMENS CLINIC The Denver Outlaws want to spread the word about an EXCITING clinic that we will be hosting June 20th at INVESCO Field! This is an AMAZING opportunity for girls lacrosse players of all ages and skill levels! Cathy Reese, the head coach of the Maryland’s D1 team, will be heading the clinic with Magee McKee, member of the Canadian World Cup team, along side some of your favorite Denver Outlaw players. For only $20 you will get admission to the clinic, and a FREE ticket to the Outlaws game that takes place right after the clinic. This camp is free for all season ticket holders! May 27, 2009 Updates: All-League Team and Jamboree 2009 Girls Metro All-League Team Congratulations to: 1rst Team Tori Larson (A), Kendall Murray (A), Maxwell Blair (M), Madeline Schroeder (D) and Coach Robert Romero. 2nd Team Lizzie Larson (A), Tierra Romero (M), and Sarah Marquez (D). Honorable Mention Helen Gaffigan, Kelly McCarrol-Gilbert, and Kelli Uhlberg. 1rst and 2nd Teams will play in the All-League Tournament at Regis, May 28, 2009. Players should arrive by 4:00 dressed in navy or black shorts. Go Angels!

Volunteer Parents or Players Needed!We need parents or players who might want some community service hours to help volunteer their time to the Lacrosse Team. Volunteer opportunities include everything from entering rosters, medical forms, bringing water and game oranges to games to leadership positions creating a player book, assisting with fundraising, the golf tournament and or communications.
Please glance through the attached Volunteer sheet and contact Diana Crew or the Parent chair attached with each opportunity. We appreciate any amount of help.
