SHOREMEN WIN!!!
The Duluth Superior Shoremen defeated the Brainerd Lumberjacks 37-0 Saturday at home
to secure
 1st Place in SPFL!

The Shoremen started slowly, but the defense got things started early in the 1st quarter scoring a safety by defensive tackle Antonio Cobbs, on the next offensive drive quarterback Justin Brickley ran it in  from 7 yards out.   On the very next Lumberjack snap Shoremen All-Star Corner Courtney Walters picked off a pass and returned it for a touchdown 21 yard.  In the second half the Shoremen offensive got things rolling their first drive of the second half ended with a 6 yard touchdown pass from Justin Brickley to Tight-End Duce MacAlister, after 3 and out by the defense, Hollis Dukes returned a punt 67 yards for a touchdown.  The final Shoremen score came late in the game when game co-MVP Chevy Wheeler caught a 6 yard touchdown pass from Hollis Dukes.

The Shoremen are headed toward their second opportunity for league championship in as many years.
    The Shoremen will face the roughed Northern Terror on Saturday July 11th at Public School Stadium to secure both an UNDEFEATED! SPFL regular season, and the SPFL title.  
Kick Off is set for 5:00 p.m
