WINDSOR SELECTS PRESIDENT BERNIE SOULLIERE TO BE INDUCTED INTO THE CANADIAN BASEBALL HALL OF FAME
Walker, Whitt and Soulliere Head Ball Hall Class of ‘09
Larry Walker, Ernie Whitt and Bernie Soulliere, who represent three unique stories leading to three unique roles as they will help lead Team Canada in the upcoming World Baseball Classic in Toronto this March, will reunite in St. Mary’s, Ontario on June 20th when all three will be inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame. Midget AAA Championship awarded to Windsor
Greater Windsor Baseball has been awarded the hosting of the 2009 Midget AAA Championship. The Windsor Selects are the defending champions. The tournament will be held August 28-30, 2009.

Midget Selects take gold at OBA tourney
Matt Cook pitched a five hitter with three strikeouts and Cam Goddard went 1-for-3 with two RBIs for the Windsor Selects midget team in their 5-1 victory over Toronto in the final game Sunday at the OBA AAA championship at Mic Mac Park. The top hitters in six games were Justin Cook (.471) and Larry Balkwill (.421). The Midget Selects finish their season with a 53-10 record.

Windsor Selects 18U team thanks Chris Dennis for attending the Thursday March 12 workout at St. Clair College. His presence was appreciated by all as he instructed the players on hitting and talked to them about various aspects of the game. We wish Chris the best of luck in his 2009 season as he enters his 3rd year in the Milwaukee Brewers organization.
