The HVNABA started giving back to the community shortly after we began play in 2008 and we continue to do so. We take great pride in knowing that we can make a difference in peoples lives that are less fortunate than all of us. If you have any ideas on a charity you would like to support through the league please let us know. We would be happy to help in any way possible. Here are just a few of the charities we have supported in the past:

- Give 2 the troops: In 2008 we collected used sports equipment and other items to send overseas to our troops.

- Food for Veterans: In 2010 we had a canned food drive to collect food for veterans less fortunate than us.

- Hyde Park Little League: In 2011 we raised money for their Little League program

- Matt Chasse: In 2013 we chose to support one of our own. While Expos player Matt Chasse was battling cancer, the league purchased wristbands in his honor and sold them at our All Star Game and regular season games. 100% of  the wristband sales was donated to Matt and his family to assist in paying their medical bills.

- American Cancer Society: In 2015 we donated 100% of all ticket sales to our All Star Game to the ACS. Together we raised $1,400 for the organization.

- Center for Prevention of Child Abuse: In 2016 we made a substantial donation to this great organization.

- Town of Wappingers Little league : In 2016 and 2017 we also made a substantial donation to support Wappingers Little league.

- Special Olympics: In 2017 we made a substantial donation to the Special Olympics through their Polar Plunge event.\

- NYPD PBA Widows and Childrens fund: In 2017 we organized a game in which HVNABA All Stars played the NYPD Baseball team at Dutchess Stadium in a fundraiser for the Widows and Childrens fund. The HVNABA took care of all costs involved and raised money for a great organization.

- Major League Baseball's RBI program ( Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities )

- In 2019 and going forward we will focus on supporting the 3 up 3 down organization. Created in February 2017, 3 Up 3 Down (3U3D) was developed to support and promote youth baseball in the Hudson Valley while also supporting those with developmental disabilities.  To date, the Organization has already donated more than $30,000 back to youth leagues and several local charities.  Collectively as one large baseball community, we look to expand upon these numbers.
