2009-2010 SEASON REGISTRATION PROGRAMS AND FEES:

Introduction to Speed Skating and Returning Members Skating One Day Per Week:

Every Saturday until March 20, 2010
Ages 5 and Up
Sessions generally  2:30 - 3:30 p.m. or 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. (See Skate Times Page for Details)
Fee - $195.00 (including skate rental for season) 

Groups 1, 2, and 3 (Skating 3 days per week):

Saturday Skating for Groups 1, 2 and 3:

 

Saturdays following Introduction to Speed Skating; 

Latest Session ending 7:45 p.m.

 

Tuesday/Thursday (Tentative) Times for Groups 1, 2 and 3

 

Group 1 – Tuesday  6:30  –  7:30 p.m.;    Thursday  6:00  –   7:05 p.m.
Group 2 – Tuesday  7:40  –  8:40 p.m.;    Thursday  7:15  –   8:25 p.m.
Group 3 – Tuesday  8:50  – 10:05 p.m.;    Thursday  8:35  – 10:05 p.m.

Fee for Groups 1, 2, and 3:  $590.00 per skater 

 

Groups 1, 2, 3 are based upon age, ability and availability of openings

 

Note:  Anticipate a limited number of skaters may have access to a “2 day” program, with one day being the Saturday.  Fee will be $425.00 per skater. 

Adults:

Tuesday  –  10:15 p.m. – 11:15 p.m.
Thursday –  10:15 p.m. – 11:15 p.m.

 

Fee - $350.00 for 2 days per week; $200.00 for one day per week.

Skate Rental -  Skate rental with blades - $100.00 - $125.00 (depending on boot)

                       Blade only -  $50.00

                       Boots only -  $75.00 - $100.00 (depending on boot)

 

Family Rate - First two skaters pay full rate; each additional family skater only pays 50% of the rate of each applicable further membership. 

Payment Method - Cash or Cheque (No Credit Cards)

First Payment:        Dated September 12, 2009 - One Third of Fee Owing
Second Payment:    Post Dated Cheque, dated - October 31, 2009 -   One Third of Fee Owing          
Third Payment:       Post Dated Cheque, dated - November 30, 2009 - One Third of Fee Owing

Three or More Skaters:
First Payment:      Dated September 12, 2009 -  One Quarter of Fee Owing
Second Payment:  Post Dated Cheque, dated  - October 31, 2009   - One Quarter of Fee Owing

Third Payment:     Post Dated Cheque, dated  - November 30, 2009 - One Quarter of Fee Owing
Fourth Payment:   Post Dated Cheque, dated  - December 31, 2009 - One Quarter of Fee Owing

Association Fees: 

In order for a skater to participate at OSSA racing meets they must pay a yearly membership fee that is sent to the Canadian Speed Skating Association/Ontario Speed Skating Association.  These fees are paid through the Club.                      

 

This year’s OSSA fee are: $80.00 for an individual; $200.00 for a family rate.

 

We collect these fees for returning members at registration.  Please bring a separate post dated cheque dated November 15, 2009 to cover these fees.

REGISTRATION DAY:  Saturday, September 12, 2009

This year's Registration Day is Saturday, September 12th, 2009, at the River Oaks Arena from 12:30-4:30 p.m., Rink B, Boardroom.

At this Registration time, returning and new members attend to register for the upcoming season.  Also at Registration, members who need to rent speed skates are then fitted for their skates.  Therefore, please ensure that the member who is registering attends this registration session.

This is also the time and place for new members to come and learn about the Club, the programs offered, see the equipment required and learn about the sport.  There are videos to watch of the programs offered and members’ competing at meets; a display board of events and accomplishments by Club members are posted for all to view; and a table of equipment, new and used, to purchase if interested.
