TO MY TEAMMATES AND FRIENDS FOR THE PAST 6 YEARS:
As we get set to close out the season as champions of our division and before I played my last league game, I wanted to say "Thank you" for allowing me to be a part of the team for these past 6 years. I understand it is a mens league and it is a "Sunday League", but I would choose this team and you guys over any team I have been a part of in the past. I know I have been a little difficult to play with at times and it wasn't because I thought poorly of any one players skill, I just want to bring out the best in each player and see "our" team be as professional as we can make it. So, before i deploy to Afghanistan, I just wanted to say thank you again, and to let you all know that I don't just think of you as teammates but also as friends. I hope to see you all again in a year or so.

BLACK & BLUE F.C. is a member of the "Laguna Niguel Football Association" located in South Orange County. The league is populated with players from diverse backgrounds such as: Mexico, England, Ireland, Argentina and the Middle East. Black & Blue FC was formed in 1999 in "Coast Soccer League" based in Cypress. After several different lineups the team merged with another and moved to a new league, the LNFA in 2003. Most, if not all have either played at college level or above. It is a highly competitive league that has very high standards of play and sportsmanship.

The LNFA is a quality football association located in Laguna Niguel, California, where competitive players can play in a non-violent and well managed atmosphere. Each of our 12 clubs may have a roster carrying up to 22 players, the majority of which are over 30 years old. Each team may also have 7 players which can range in age between 18 and 29 years old, four of which may be fielded at any time. We play according to FIFA's Laws of the Game with a few minor exceptions for substitutions and misconduct. We are affiliated with CSA-S. The LNFA has a no tolerance policy for violence and prides itself on the family environment which our players and their loved ones enjoy.
