#8 Park Vista falls to unranked SuncoastPark Vista opened up the season against Suncoast. The Cobras find themselves ranked #8 in the Palm Beach Post and #8 in the 6A state rankings. Suncoast entered the first year they have not been ranked in the Post but are ranked #7 in the 4A state rankings.
There were a lot of questions begining the season this year. One of the major questions was who was going to fill the spot of Katy Richardson. Richardson who is recovering from surgery posted 13 shutouts last season, and an impressive 1.09 goals against average. With all of the seniors lost last year, this position is the biggest shoes to fill. Well, nerves and inexperience all played a roll and the question still remains after Suncoast defeated the Cobra's 5-0.
Suncoast scored two goals from 40+ yards, a couple on set corner kick playes and finished it off with a penatly shot. Freshman Tiffany Pepe did hit the post 10 minutes into the game and the Cobras completely out passed the Chargers, but failed to score any goals.
The Cobras now will turn their focus to Friday's opponent, Spanish River. They still have questions, but each game we will work towards geting them all solved. |
