2009 ABA SPRING SEASON IS HERE !!!

During the 2008 season for the first time....... the Clifton Wildcats attempted to maintain a team in AA wood as well as AAA metal.  At that time the roster had 18 players and upper management moved forward with two teams.  In the first half of the season.....things were great as they got off to a good start, but as the season progressed.......injuries played a key factor for the Wildcats followed by players not showing the commitment of being there on time or even showing up at all.
This forced a tough decision for captain Robert Pirchala to make as the Wildcats did not finish the season for the first time in 8 seasons.  No matter how over matched they were or what their record was......the Clifton Wildcats never even missed a game until last season.
After losing the heart and soul of the team with the Santana brothers moving to Charlotte.........The tables have turned as the Clifton Wildcats are joining forces with Peter Janiec and have totally restructured their team.

The Wallington Wildcats ( 0- 0 ) will kick off the 2009 season against the Montclair Mounties ( 0- 1 ).  This will be the first game for the new-look Wildcats.  The Mounties will be seeking their first win as well as they lost on opening day 17- 3 vs the Clifton Reds.
Peter Janiec was named General Manager and will try to put together his 5th new team in his career.  He has had many success in the past including a championship, but will now be facing his toughest challenge.  He has very little time to scout new players or decide what positions he needs since the season was a last minute decision.
