Red Dragons Move to 6-0 in November

The Red Dragons (6-2), winners of now their sixth straight, took down another NECHL opponent this Sunday as they knocked of the Cornell Big Red 6-4 in what seemed to be a game Cortland had complete control.  Cortland came out firing on all cylinders as they made Cornell pay for their penalties as the Red Dragons went 4 for 7 on the power play the entire game, with a total of 5 power play goals.  Paul Chamberlain posted Cortland's first hat trick of the season as he had two power play goals and the empty netter to seal the deal on the game.  Page, Smith and Tracy also had multiple helpers to give Cortland the win over nationally recognized Cornell.  Granice, Oliverio, Tracy and Purcell also added to the recent explosion of Cortland's offense as they all found the twine once a piece.  Two five minute majors for Cornell ended up being the key to this game as Cortland scored three of their goals off of those costly mistakes.  Cornell players Downy, Tangerini and Prather posted multiple point games for the Big Red.  Cortland will try to extend their six game run this weekend as they host Oswego State on Saturday and visit Penn State-Berks on Sunday.  The puck drops against the Lakers this Saturday at 6pm, come on down and cheer for your Red Dragons, as always, admission is FREE!
