REGISTER TODAY FOR THE COLIN CASSIDY MEMORIAL LACROSSE TOURNAMENT

The Colorado Mammoth, NDP Lacrosse and Genesis Lacrosse Club are hosting the Colin Cassidy Memorial Lacrosse Tournament on Saturday, September 12. Taking place at Dicks Sporting Goods Park, the event is in memory of two-year-old Colin who passed away in June in Vail, Colorado. The tournament will feature men's and women's adult divisions as well as high school and youth teams. The tournament is open to players of all skill levels.

"Kroenke Sports Enterprises and the entire lacrosse community were saddened last month to hear of the tragic passing of Colin Cassidy," said Bill Hall, assistant general manager of the Colorado Mammoth. "Colin's father, Chris, has been an instrumental member of the Colorado lacrosse community for years, while his mother, Sara, has been influential in the creation of public policy that benefits local businesses in her work at the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce. This lacrosse tournament is a way to honor Colin's memory and bring the entire Colorado lacrosse community together to show its support for the Cassidy family."

The day will include tournament play, clinics from pro lacrosse players, a silent auction and several other special events that will be announced in the upcoming weeks.

My wife, Sara, and I have been overwhelmed by the tremendous support of the Colorado lacrosse community as we navigate through this very difficult and sad time," said Chris Cassidy.

Youth and high school divisions will play a 7-on-7 format, while the adult men's and women's divisions will compete on regulation-size fields with full teams. All registration fees will be suggested donations on a per-player basis.

"Every dollar donated will go directly to the charities selected by the Cassidy family to receive donations from the Colin L. Cassidy Memorial Fund," said Hall. "By making the registration fee a suggested amount, even those who might not normally be able to play in lacrosse tournaments will be able to participate in this one."

For those wishing to volunteer or sponsor the tournament, please contact Josh Gross at jgross@pepsicenter.com.
