Welcome to Edina Fastpitch

The Edina Girls Fastpitch Association offers area girls the opportunity to participate in the increasingly popular sport of Fastpitch Softball. A traveling summer program is available for girls looking for a relatively high level of commitment and competition. The program helps players develop skills necessary to compete at the High School and University levels. The Association offers teams in the 8 and under, 10 and under, 12 and under, 14 and under, 16 and under and 18 and under levels. Players are placed on teams based on their ability, effort and enthusiasm. The fees we charge for our league programs are priced to cover our costs. We have several fundraising efforts, including a flower sale, that allow us to provide scholarships, reduced priced off season training, and top end equipment for teams. Players can prepare for placement by participating in a winter skills clinic, including Pitching, Catching, and Hitting.  These clinics are run by paid professionals and are designed to bring every player, from beginner to experienced, to the next level. The summer season begins in May and continues through the state tournaments in mid-July. The association also enters teams into a fall league that plays Sunday afternoons during August and September. The Association will schedule registration dates for each of its programs. Summer registration is in February and fall registration is in July. Winter clinic registration is in October, continuing throughout the winter months.

Check out the future of Fastpitch... we are proud to present the Minnesota Lightning!

Pitching: Edina Fastpitch is sponsoring pitching clinics on Tuesday nights in the gym at Christ Presbyterian Church.

These clinics are open to all levels of pitchers - new and experienced. Each pitcher is expected to bring a "softie" and someone to catch for them. The catchers can be a parent, older sibling or a catcher from their summer team.  All registered pitchers will be assigned a pitching mat that will be used in the gym. They are responsible for bringing the mat each week.

The pitching coaches will alternate between Jen Burke, Assistant coach at Burnsville HS and former U of MN pitching coach and player and Hillary Hansen, Head coach at Burnsville HS and former U of MN player.  The time breakouts are as follows:

6 - 7 pm: 8U and 10U
7 - 8 pm: 12U and above

Registration is available at Registration Page, 2010 EGFA Pitching Clinic tab.
