VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!!

Information about Uniforms, Techs, roster deadline/waivers, game ball and payments

  1. PAYMENTS FOR THE LEAGUE

A. League payments are due by the 4th game. At least half of the league fee must be paid by the 2nd game. Any team that has not paid in full by 4th game will not be allowed to continue.

B. Payments need to be made before the game to include the score-keeper fee. Score-keepers will not start the game until payment is received.

  1. Waivers/scoresheets

A. Original waiver is only used for the players who show up on the first game.

B. Any player that is added to the roster must sign the next game waiver. This waiver is used to add players to the team and can only be done up to the third game. After the third game, all rosters are final. It is the team rep or coach

C. Scoresheets need to filled out 10 minutes prior to the game. Only players that are in the present go on the score-sheet, real player name go on the score sheet along with a jersey number.

  1. UNIFORMS

Players must have a visible number on their jerseys. No player can have a blank jersey or shirt. No player can have the same number on their jersey or shirt as another player on the same teamThanks for everyone understanding.

As far as the game ball, we gave an opportunity for everyone to vote on which they would like, majority voted for the TF 1000, When we went to purchase, it was no longer on the shelves and was replaced with the legacy. This is the same composite leather material as with the ZK, it is that it just feels a little alot softer according to Spalding.

Other sites also noted it as well. Did extensive research prior to purchasing the ball.

Spalding TF-1000 Legacy Basketball Description

The TF-1000 Legacy is next in a long line of high caliber competitive basketballs from Spalding. The TF-1000 Legacy basketball has a newly designed moisture management ZK cover material with Spalding's optimized deep channel design. Along with these attributes the Legacy has a soft carcass design for a softer feel and increased durability. In a sense the TF-1000 Legacy has been engineered to help create your own Legacy.

Features:
• ZK composite cover
• Moisture management technology
• Deep channel design
• Soft inner design for softer feel and increased durability
• NFHS approved

You can learn more about this game ball by going to WWW.SPALDING.COM

According to Spalding they are discontinuing the the TF 1000 ZK series.

So please use the game ball that is provided. If we allow teams to decide which ball to use this is not fair to all the teams. One ball for all games should be fair for everyone. We know that everyone would like to have their preference if that would be the case, we would not have to supply the game ball. Last season we used the wilson evolution that are used in High Schools and still recieved feedback they wanted the TF 1000.

The previous information has been archived down below.

A couple of announcements..

Starting Feb 2012 all UFL GAMES will start at 530PM and go till 930PM a new schedule should be posted soon.

For FEB 11/12, the reason the schedule is not posted is we are still waiting to see if Grange is available due to a school function. Should be posted by wednesday this week, but teams can pretty much plan around the times they already play we try our best to give you around the same schedule you played already.

For FFASL games, Majority of the teams are half way there. Some of the divisions for Saturay will start their playoffs on Feb 18. We understand this is a three day weekend for most of you, however Gym reservations are paid based off of availibility. We have not recieved enough payments to request for Feb 25/26 and MARCH yet, so please pay the payments so we can reserve the venue for the playoffs. A projected playoff schedule will be posted soon and the rest of the season schedule as well. Thanks for everyones patience.

SUPER BOWL SUNDAY. We have announced this several times and sorry we can not always accomodate everyones request. We understood that when the niners were playing, we did what we could but we will meet half way. The announcement has been out for the last two weeks. The scorekeepers will tell the Sunday teams what time their game is next week between 9AM-2PM last game will end around 2:50pm provided we stay on time, this does really depend on the teams getting their on time and filling out their scoresheets prior to the start of the game.

Most of the time we fall behind becuase we have to wait on a few teams to have their scoresheets filled out time. Possibly next season there may be some new rules regarding preperation for the game. If we had the rosters prior to the season of all the teams, we could have the scoresheets completed with the name and jersey number, that is why we higly recommend your players have uniforms.

There will be games FEB 11/12 and also FEB 18/19, if your team is already 2 weeks behind, unfortunately we will not be able to give a bye for that weekend. Teams who have not paid their full balance by the 4TH game will not enter the playoffs. Those teams will be announced on the site and also may not be allowed to join next season. There will be no refund for the games already paid. So it would be best to get the payments in please. This goes for both FFASL and UFL.

The staff greatly appreciates everyone for their continued support and patience as we are determined to provide the best programs as possible, we see their are some frustrations and we are working to clean alot of that up, what we ask in return is cooperation as we build this team.

As we are still trying to determine the best course of action for next season, the committee will have a telcon this wednesday to discuss the details. UFL will be used more for the D-LEAGUE and FFASL more for the competative, we will work together to ensure we can do the best to accomodate the schedules. In feb we will have a sign up sheet for those different divisions posted on the wall, in order to get a good idea, we just need to determine how many hours we need to request due to the new policies of the school district.

Two different formats will be presented.

5 games and single elimination playoffs $450

10 games $400 paid on first 5 games and $400 paid before start of next 5 games. Must have 11 teams to make this work so all teams play each other onces.

6'2 AND under with one non asian. This division is asian players, games are rotated between SATURDAY and SUNDAY. But as we put this division together, we will find out who can play what days and work a schedule as much as possible.

Masters 33 and over Asian with one married to Asian autorized.

If we are unable to get enough teams then we will stay with the same format as we did this season. $450 5 games and playoffs $25 for scorekeepers paid at game times.

Once again, please refrain from smoking at the schools unless you are in the parking lots, this is illegal and could recieve a citation if the police catch you. We seem to have players and fans that still smoke right outside the doors of the schools to include the hallways. Also thanks for keeping the facilities clean, we really appreciate everyone support and courtesy as we hope to keep a family oriented program going for all of you.
