TD and 2pt conversion victory: Everyone knew the road to the championship would go through the Islanders at some point. The Pitbulls eliminated the Islanders in the first game on Sunday 15-7. Total team effort, pitching held when needed and offense couldnt be shut down...... Jose Wood will have press on nails for the next week or two: Game two of the elimination round featured old rivals as the Senators and Pitbulls met for a classic. Rob Baham and Leon Schabacker threw 10 innings of fantastic baseball for both sides respectively. Ultimately though, Schabacker's 10 Inn, shutout, 7 K performance was just a little more. The Pitbulls won in the bottom of the tenth on an aggressive base running call by management........ Playoffs Arms Race: As mentioned above, Schabacker got the win in game two. Wayne Renfrow provided the pitching in game one being better than anything the Islanders had to throw against us...... F*** You Jobu, I do it myself: Ramon Quinoñes showed off some power after issuing an ultimatum. "If I dont get a hit, cut me coach" He was quoted as saying just before stepping to the plate and belting a home run against one of the Pitbulls biggest foes in the Islanders' Rhino....... Two for the Afternoon show: Dave McElhaney was a one man wrecking crew on defense. He had multiple ranging and diving plays to start a double play for the Pitbulls on Sunday....... We're a Poisonous Nut: Dan Herbert tried planting a buckeye in space in game one with a blast. Despite some struggles at the plate, his timely hitting is very much relied upon. A true offensive wonder to watch...... Looking Ahead: We're facing a team that hasn't lost to a baseball team in the playoffs. They're undefeated against baseball teams and only loss came against a rock who scored 4 runs against them. With that mentality, lets put 6 on them in the first frame and show them what Pitbull Baseball is about. Let's send the lil pups home earlier then they had anticipated...... Sorry I missed the games this weekend fellas: Great Job and I'll be out there to capture the championship run!!....

With the success Mrs. Pfeifer had last year with photography of the games, we look to improve upon that this season. All players for the Pitbulls will be photographed multiple times over the year. These photos were used for baseball cards, updating myspace and facebook pages, and sharing with family and friends. This season Bags will have a camera with tripod setup to do action shots and player profile portraits for the webpage and for their individual updates. Look for everyone to have an opportunity to have prints made available as well, I will try and provide all the images on a disc at the highest resolution for you at the end of the season(still to be determined).
Many thanks to Stella Pfeifer, Kyle Pfeifer's mother, for taking photographs of this season's Pitbulls' games. You can check out the entire photo package:
