Titans split with the Islanders.  Game 1 saw the Titans fight back to within 1 run but see the Islanders score 4 runs to pull away and take the game 10-3.  Game 2  saw Jason Martino come in and shut down a strong offensive team.  Titans score 6 runs in the first to cruise to a 11-2 victory.  The Titans would like to wish good to luck to the Islanders for the rest of the season.


The Titans would like to congratulate Rene "J.R." Vargas on the birth of his baby girl!!!!!


 

On a side note,  Benny Brent, who has been with the team for 2 seasons, has left the team to join the Brewers and Eddie Bentner, who had joined the team this season, has left the team to join the Yankees.  The Titans would like to wish both players good luck.
