STARS SCORE LATE FOR WIN
Thunder Bay's K&A Wolverines were edged 3-2 by the Ft.Wm. Northstars Wednesday night in a closely fought hockey game. I a game that saw K&A outshoot their opponents 28-21, the Wolverines failed to cash in on their powerplay opportunities. The Stars scored the game winner at the 16:00 minute mark of the third but were pressed to maintain the lead until the fianl whistle. Scoring for K&A were Luke Haegele and Chris Smerek. Jean-Roch Thibert suffered his first loss in regulation time, stopping 25 of 28 shots.
K&A is back on the road to face Sioux Lookout and Dryden this weekend.
