Stephanie Kirvan earned a spot on the Third Team for All-State in Missouri. She is only the third Lady Laker soccer player to earn this honor. Congrats! Check out all of the teams by clicking on the links below.
2nd Annual Camdenton Invitational Information: Camdenton won the tournament this year after a hard-fought battle with Barstow in the Championship match. The final goal came from freshman Cassie Hale as she hit the sixth pk in a shootout. Barstow's miss in the sudden-death pk shootout proved to be the difference. Camdenton had five girls make the All-Tournament Team: Senior Stephanie Kirvan; Junior Latea LaRue; Sophomores Haley Baker and Ashley Paschel; Freshman Cassie Hale.
Camdenton won the tournament by beating Laquey 8-0 in the first round; Warrensburg 2-1 in the second round (after trailing 1-0 Camdenton rallied) and Barstow 2-1 in a shootout (after trailing 1-0 in that match, too).
Warrensburg finished third by beating Mexico 2-0 in the third place match and Sacred Heart beat Boonville 3-0 in the fifth place match.
Sadly, Ashley Paschel broke her fibula during the Barstow match and is out for the rest of the season. She finishes her sophomore year with 14 goals which is the most goals ever scored by a sophomore in Camdenton Lady Laker soccer history.
Sadly, though, in the Championship Match, we lost Ashley "Pey Pey" Paschel to a broken fibula. Here's the collision that caused the break:

Freshman Cassie Hale earned a spot on Honorable Mention All-District 10!
Freshman forward Kayla Utley has set two school records so far this season. Her 10 goals so far is a freshman single season scoring record (knocking out Chelsea Williams and Latea LaRue who each had 8 as freshmen) and she had 4 assists in a single match against Parkview on April 28th, which is another team record. Way to go, Utley.

Stephanie Kirvan (#4) and Latea LaRue (#20) each earned a spot on the All-Central Region Team! Kirvan was Region Offensive Player of the Year! These two players accounted for 50 of our 100 goals.

Congratulations to 2008 senior midfielder Blaire Baker for being named First Team All-Ozark Conference, First Team All-District 10 and First Team All-Central Region! She joins a select few of Camdenton Lady Lakers to earn all three first team spots: Lindsey Sinclair (2007); Hayley Christensen (2006); Jennifer Sulze (2005); Rachel LaRue (2004).
Blaire Baker is now playing at Southwest Baptist University. Click on the link to see SBU's program for the 2008 season. Also, if you do, make certain you check out the team records page where class of 1999 Camdenton soccer player Rachael Neal (now Racheal Ingold) is still all over the place in the record book. Much luck to Blaire Baker at SBU! She will be missed at Camdenton.
