Division I Power Rankings:

 

1. Los Verdugos - Despite nearly giving the game away to a scrappy One Legacy team, LV remains on top after improving to a league-best 3-1 record. Stephen Gilling quieted the critics and poured in 30 points and 11 boards.

 

2. Intifada - Intifada continues to roll, also improving to 3-1. Solid all-around play with Yaser leading the way in a victory over Bomb Squad. With a favorable schedule, Intifada is on pace to finish the season at 7-1.

 

3. AK - The biggest question mark of the team is Hytham - will he consistently show up to games? They are 2-0 without him, however. They face LV this Friday, which should be a good test for this squad.

 

4. NSANE - This is the scariest team in the league, when their guys actually show up to games. WIth Farouk (aka Chucky Atkins) already hurt, they can not afford for Imanie and Kevin to be missing chunks of games. Mustafa needs to control his team if they hope to crack the top 4.

 

5. Bomb Squad - They continue to hang around with some of the top teams in the league and are a player away from being true contenders. At 1-3, their playoff hopes could be diminishing, unless they win out.

 

6. One Legacy - They were a 3 pointer away from sending the game to OT against LV, even without some of their key players. Look for this team to go on a streak to end the season. No one can stop Dawuud down low.

 

Division II Power Rankings:

 

1. AK - Continue to thrash on weaker teams.

2. FDL - In cruise control, led by evaluation game no-show Wes.

3. Forever 21 - Barely squeaking out victories, but getting job done. Mahroze has found Fountain of Youth.

4. Mambas - Victorious in OT thriller against Empire.

5. True Grit - Keep gritting out victories. Good test this Friday.

6. Empire - Best frontcourt in the league. Oldest team in the league.

7. MAS IE - Solid play - one of the best guards in the league in Zaid

8. 2 Nyce - Rumored chemistry issues and known chuckers.

9. The Revenge - Madkour / Jeff duo as good as it gets in D2.

10. Beasts - Started 3-0, coming back down to reality.
