Ford and Sentry Autio Group make donation to the Mustangs!

For the second year in a row, Ford Motor Company and Sentry Ford Lincoln of Medford generously donated $6,000 to the football team for Ford’s Drive One 4 UR School program. We’re very grateful to the dozens of community members who came out in the pouring rain to not only cheer on Medford against Somerville on October 14, but who also test drove vehicles to help raise money for the Mustangs. Jim Lyons Mustang Football Scholarship
Announcement!
The Senior Football Associates of Medford has announced that a third scholarship will be added to the scholarship awards ceremony at the End of the Year Banquet
Jim Lyons, former Mustang Football Letterman, linebacker and Defensive tackle from the Class of 1973, recently passed away from a rare desease. Jim played for the old Roberts Junior High Team as a 8th and 9th grader, before on to the then new Medford High School.
Jim loved his time at Medford High School and playing for the mustangs. Throughout his adult life Jim always kept track on how Medford was doing and donating to the Alumni Football Fund to support Mustang Football. Jim was also one of the original weight lifting athletes under then Coach Armand Carviello, benching extraordinary amounts. Jim later became the United States Heavyweight Bench Press Champion, benching 525 LBS.
Through the support of Jim's Family and friends a deserving senior will be awarded a $500 scholarship in Jim's Memory

Senior Football Associates
"Parents and friends support team"
Most parents want to help make their child's experience in high school sports the most memorable part of life.
We have a terrific Football Booster Organization that gives the parents that kind of opportunity. Its purpose is to provide support for the team's activities, disperse communication and information from coaches to parents, and send out Spring and Winter notifications letterss via Booster Web Sites and emails--giving our parents a preview of the activities, schedules, and expectations.
The website contains, Weight training, conditioning, clinics, concession menus, highlights and scores
The Booster Club is also responsible for team dinners, some fund-raising, and the post-season banquet. Since membership in the Boosters is free, most parents will jump at the chance to join the Booster ownership.
During the season the associates operate the concesion stand, sell merchandise, organize fundraising like the mustang stampede, multi raffle and 50/50. The associates provide a hot meal before every game played on friday night. The associates sell program ads and banners, sponsor flowers for senior night presentations to the senior football, senior band and senior cheerleaders parants. Post season there's the end of the season banquet(DINNERS, AWARDS, SCHOLARSHIPS, PHOTOS)
It all cost money that the High School no longer supports these efforts, so the parents step up to the plate to assure every player and of course their won enjoys the high school football experience. Mustang Football is still the school's and the city's flagship sport
To all parents help your son and the past who played continue the tradition, don't let 122 years be forgotten.
