Jorge named Team  Captain

Norberto Jorge

Norberto Jorge has been named captain of the 2009 Williamsburg Warriors. The star catcher and utility man joined the club in 2006 on what was without a doubt the most prolific and exciting team in franchise history. He closed that season as the starting catcher on the league's first-ever Metros team (the NYCMBL's Tournament Team) throughout the Philadelphia Libert Bell Tournament. The Metros reached the Championship and were respectable runner-up finishers with Jorge behind the plate and closing games out on the mound.
