The MS OP Starz beat Silverfin 5-2 in the opening round of the playoffs.  PVLC was up next and once again they won a close game 5-3.  In the finals, the Eagles met the Mira Costa Mustangs who had upset #2 seeded Silverfin and #3 seeded El Segundo.  The Mustangs led OP Starz 4-2 at half and everytime OP scored they seemed to answer with a score of their own.  Finally, with less than a minute left in regulation, Sam Sklar found the back of the net to tie the game and send it to overtime.  OP dominated the OT period and Ryan Shorts hit the game winner to give OP Starz their first ever Starz Cup Championship.
