Recent News Summer Tournament Success
We had a very successful summer tournament season. We started things off at the Wasatch Classic where U-13 premier boys coached by Jason Schiers won the event. A few teams then moved onto the Rampage classic where we had 2 finalists U-13 premier again and U-10 girls select coached by Curtis Healey. At the Park CIty Cup the U-10 girls Premier coached by Troy Sheets were finalist outplaying their opponents, but were unable to find the back of the net. U-14 boys coached by Derek Tate also played in PC and were tied for 1st in their bracket. At the Murray Max tournament we once again struck gold with our U-13 select boys coached by Dave Swearngin winning the event. The final event of summer was the Striker Cup where success continued with the U-10 premier girls taking gold and the U-14 boys taking silver. This season we had 3 champions and 4 finalists. Great work Ogden FC!!!
Congratulations to the following teams for recent success on the pitch
Boise Performance Cup Champions
The club spent the weekend in Boise, Idaho and two of our teams made us proud. The U-9 Girls coached by Troy Sheets and Aaron Neilsen and The U-10 Boys coached by John Winterbottom and Clint Iverson both won their divisions. The girls only let up 2 goals the enitire tournament and the boys had a clean sheet going into the championship match. Great results at a very competitive tournament. Many of our other teams did well against tough teams.
Indoor Soccer
The last session of indoor had a strong showing for the filthy bunch. Both of our girls U-9 teams dominated the A division placing first and second at Ultimate. This is a great accomplishment for our club to have two teams this good in the same age bracket. Maize Gallegos led the league in scoring with 27 goals.
U-12 Rumsey also walked away with the championship in the boys U-12 A division at Ultimate. They had a great season playing teams they will see again in outdoor.
Holiday Futsal 3v3
Another victory for OFC. We sent 2 teams to score-goal at the Salt Palce in SLC to compete in their annual 3v3 futsal tournament. Oswald Cruz, David Donlevy, Cashe Rumsey and Keyanu Tate won the U-12 age division. Congratualtions on your effort.
Presidents Cup 2007
We sent 4 teams to the Presidents Cup this year. For the younger ages it is their version of State Cup. Girls Ogden FC 99 - TS won the girls U-9 division and the OFC 99 - BG took 3rd. On the boys side OFC 99 - RC was a semifinalist and OFC 99 - RD was a quarterfinalist. These teams showed the state what OFC can do. Congatulations to our youngest members of OFC.
