Thanks everyone for the hard work during this 2009 season. We had a long hard road that had a lot of obsticles, but they will only make us better and stronger!!! THIS TEAM WILL BE BUILT ON A FOUNDATION OF TRUST, DISCIPLINE AND PERSERVERANCE. WE WILL BE A PHYSICAL FOOTBALL TEAM!!! OUR OFFENSE WILL BALANCE RUNNING WITH A STRONG PASSING GAME AND AN AGGRESSIVE DEFENSE.
WE WELCOME BACK ALL PLAYERS FROM LAST YEARS TEAM AND ANY NEW PLAYERS INTERESTED IN JOING THE SWARM FAMILY. ALL POSITIONS ARE OPEN AND WILL BE EARNED. TO EARN A SPOT ON THIS TEAM YOU MUST BE ABLE TO MAKE PRACTICE. WE PLAY IN A VERY COMPETITVE LEAGUE WITH VERY WELL COACHED AND PREPARED TEAMS, IN ORDER FOR US TO BE ABLE TO REACH OUR GOAL OF WINNING A CHAMPIONSHIP WE MUST BE PREPARED AND THAT COMES WITH PRACTICE. IF YOU WANT TO WIN YOU MUST EARN IT!
WE ENCOURAGE ALL PLAYERS TO JOIN US FOR OFF SEASON WORKOUTS, FOOTBALL IS A CONTACT SPORT AND AS MENTIONED BEFORE WE WILL BE A PHYSICAL TEAM SO LETS TAKE CARE OF OUR BODIES AND SHOW UP READY TO PLAY SOME FOOTBALL.

CALVIN'S goal in helping to create this team has changed the outlook of how many see the OHIO SWARM. Many have underestimated the seriousness and the determination of the men on this team. This is all about to change. We are the Improved Swarm and are here to make a statement to our Mcfl Counterparts that we are here to play football, and to represent Columbus and our sponsors with the care and willingness that the Central Ohio area has been lacking for so long. This Team has created an opportunity for men to pursue and achieve the desire that will burn inside them forever, and that is to be a CHAMPION. We can do so through one thing, and that is Football. Great things can happen, but no one will give it to us and we can not take it. We have to earn it.....

WHO ARE THE OHIO SWARM!!
The Ohio Swarm is a minor league professional football team based in Columbus, Ohio. The team is owned by Shawn L. Norvet who is a native of Zanesville, Ohio. The Ohio Swarm has been a member of the Mid Continental Football League since 1993. Our season runs from July through October each year. Our season consist of 8 regular season games and two to four preseason games. In our rookie season we finished third in the conference. Twenty-one percent of our players made the MCFL All Star team and the following year 10 of our players were invited to NFL/CFL combine camps.
Our players' success is of great importance to the entire staff. The owner, coaches, trainers, and agents do everything possible to showcase the talents of the Ohio Swarm players. The organization’s goal is to move players up to the next level in professional football.
The Ohio Swarm's mission is to act as a developmental organization for prospective professional football players. The Swarm also is involved in community development with the primary emphasis being to enhance drug education and prevention. The Ohio Swarm is not only committed to supporting the goals and aspirations of its players, but are also committed to its central city youth.
The Ohio Swarm is currently operated as a non-profit organization, under the auspices of the International Foundation Corporation based in Columbus, Ohio. The owner of the Swarm and his administrative and coaching staff are responsible for team management and coordinates all community service projects in which the team participates.
The Ohio Swarm participates regularly with the Big Brother programs and regularly visits Youth Group Homes and interacts with troubled teens in our community. We also sponsor and host youth football camps in the Columbus and Zanesville community. Every year the Ohio Swarm participates in the Gus Macker basketball competition in Zanesville, Ohio where we serve as Gus Busters, and referees
