Coach's Corner Ver. 1 11/10/09 I often ask my kids, my students and my players to push themselves beyond their perceived limits and boundaries. How do you know when you have given your absolute best? How do you know when you have reached your limits? Can I push harder and reach further? Learning to push yourself beyond your perceived boundaries is one of those skills that can really pay off in the classroom and in the work force.
This is a character trait that gives the underdog a fighting chance. You often hear of the individual or team that accomplished great things, yet no one can quite understand how they did it. Many baseball players that make it to the major leagues were written off by many scouts, only to go on to become very good pro ball players. These are the players that have learned to push beyond their limits. These are the players that inspire us. These are the players that we hope will influence, inspire and teach their teammates how to go further than they think they really can. Here is a video clip that I hope you will find interesting.
