The Brewers and Knights game went down to the wire and was a memorable one. The Knights jumped out to an early lead, and The Brew Crew was playing catch-up the whole game. The first few innings, Daniel's nonsense kept them off balance.The innings were quick and painless. Then, in the 5th inning the wheels fell off and the Brewers looked to be fallinng apart. Daniel couldn't throw a strike, and the defense looked iffy. Down 9 to start the 7th, the Brewers had enough! The Brew Crew's manager was quoted as saying, "We just got tired of the smug look on their face, and we decided to punch back." Daniel reached on an error by "All Star" 1b Aaron K.. Nick Fabanish promptly singles. They execute a double steal on what ended up being a wild pitch, and Abe walks...loading the bases. Chunky (HUGE day) came through with a 1b, plating Daniel and Nick. Rican (also a HUGE day) singles to score Abe and advances Chunky to 3rd. Alaric hits into a fielder's choice and plates Chunky. By the end of the frame, the Brewers were down 5. Big Rob was on the bump for The Crew, and took care of business in the 8th and 9th. Down 5 in the bottom of the 9th, the Brewers chances looked slim to none. Drew gets on base, but Rob forces him out on a fielder's choice. Sean singles. Sammy comes up and hits into a fielder's choice, plating Rob but the 2nd out had been made and The Crew was down to one out. Down 4 with Speedy Sam on 1b. He steals 2nd while the Boss singles up the middle, moving Sam to 3rd. Nick Fabanish then walks which loads the bases. Big Ham comes up with a shot into the gap scoring Sam and Daniel. Tying run on second base, Cold-Blooded-Ass Chunky pulverized a ball into left field (a walk off blast at any other field) for a 2b...tying the game at 12-12. As if there was any doubt, Rican stepped up and belted a single to left field to plate Chunky with the winning run. At age, 148, Rican is the oldest Brewer with a walk off hit.
