Indoor Practice Schedule:
With the cold, wet weather having arrived, we will be moving remaining practices beginning November 2, 2009 to the Indoor Gym at the Old Community Centre.  Please remember all players must wear runners and shin guards (no soccer cleats in gym) and please respect the facility as there are other user groups in the building

Gym Time: November 2 – 27, 2009

Mondays: 5-6pm – U7 Coed

Tuesdays: 4-5:15pm – U14 Girls
                5:15-6:30pm – U14 Boys
                      
·        must finish at 6:30 as there is a class book in gym

Wednesdays: 5-6pm – U9 Boys (no practice November 11)

Thursdays:  4-5:00pm – U11 Girls
                   5:00pm – 6:00pm – U11 Boys

Outside Practices continue for Senior Division: note time changes and location

Mondays:       3:30 – 5pm – Senior Boys – outside at high school field

Thursdays:     5-7pm – Senior Girls – outside at Signal Hill field under lights

U9 Girls last practice October 31.



Fields:
For Teams Playing in Squamish: All weather field schedule -- looks like we might be needing this sooner rather than later!!

 
If the grass fields are closed (check the SYSA website Friday evening), then we will automatically go to this alternate schedule.  Note that the games are not necessarily at the same time (since we are going from four fields to two fields), so please make sure players and parents are aware of the schedule changes.
 

For the U18 boys teams who play a double header on Saturdays, we have kept those games together on the all weather fields, but as they will likely be played in the snottiest weather, we'll leave it up to the affected coaches to decide to play shorter games if you want.

* U11, U13, U18 age divisions play in the Squamish House League � all games in Squamish on Saturdays (except games schedule between Whistler & Pemberton)

* U7 & U9 Fall Jamboree in October � details to be announced

Spring Season: Mid April to June

* Practices once a week, games on Saturdays (no games Victoria Day long weekend)

* All age groups participate in Green River League � alternate weekend play in Whistler or Pemberton.


Pemberton Youth Soccer Fall Season Awards Dinner & Silent Auction

When: Saturday, November 28, 2009
Where: The Grand Hall, Pemberton Community Centre (new)
Time: 5:30-9pm

To celebrate the end of the season, the Pemberton Youth Soccer Association would like to invite all members to the Fall Season Award Dinner & Silent Auction.  The dinner is a potluck so we are asking for contributions from each age division to contribute. If you would like to contribute a dish, please contact your coach or team manager: 

Appies/ Buns/Bread – U18 Division

            Salads – U7 & U9 Division

            Main Dishes – U14 Division

            Desserts – U11 Division

            Refreshments – PYSA Board

·        Items must be “Ready to Eat”

At this time we will be recognizing the teams who participated in the Squamish House League (U11 - U18) with team achievements, individual awards; and recognizing all soccer players with certificates.  We would like the U7 & U9 teams to please wear their medals from the Jamboree to be recognized when receiving their certificates. We will be presenting a slide show of the past few months.


The PYSA will be hosting a
Silent Auction and 50/50 Draw throughout the evening – great selection of locally contributed items!


We are looking for a few volunteers from each team to help out with set up, take down, serving, 50/50 sellers. If you can volunteer for this event please contact Anne Crowley (crowley7@telus.net) or Bettina Falloon (falloon@telus.net ).
 


Players, parents and siblings are invited to attend this family event to help us recognize the wonderful fall season the Pemberton Youth Soccer Association has had!

We are looking for a selection of photographs from this season to highlight during a presentation of the Awards Ceremony.  If you have any digital images, please send them to me (falloon@telus.net) or drop off a disk. PLEASE LET ME KNOW AS WE ARE TRYING TO COORDINATE THIS NOW. Still looking for lots of photos: summer camp, U7 & U0 Jamboree, Squamish League, Whitecaps Camp, Spring League etc.

Keep Fueling at Husky! Take along the Pemberton Youth Soccer Husky Rebate Card to help raise funds for the club. Husky Community Rebate Program sends 2% of purchases to our organization � so fill up on gas and snacks at any Husky station. We received our first quarter cheque for $102! Parent Information:

Parent Information - Please Read Very Carefully

* Uniforms Shirts will be issued at the first practice. Please be sure to return your uniform to your coach at the end of the fall season to avoid being invoiced for missing uniform shirt.

* All players are requested to wear black shorts.

* The club has some extra black shorts for purchase. Please contact Bettina if you have any questions.

PYSA requires that all players wear:
Protective shin pads, covered by knee-length soccer socks, and
Soccer boots/cleats.
Team uniform jersey will be supplied by PYSA (MUST be returned at end of season)
Black shorts (preferred)

Players should bring a water bottle to practices/games, and younger age groups may like to bring along a healthy snack.
