Green River League - 2012 BEGINS April 23, 2012

The Soccer Season will begin with weekly practices the week of April 23rd – June 23rd 

Green River League Games due to begin April 28th– Saturdays until June 16th/23rd (no game May Long Weekend)

Please Note: NEW TIME FOR U9 BOYS & GIRLS

 

Please note: The Meadows Community fields will not be available this spring season for usage. Therefore, practices and games for U9-U18 will be at Pemberton Secondary School and the U7's will be at Signal Hill.

Those players who played in FALL 2011 soccer season DO NOT need to re-register.

This is for NEW PLAYERS only.

Registration only available through Pemberton Youth Soccer Association.

 

Fall Season: September to November

* Practices once a week, games on Saturdays (no games Thanksgiving long weekend)

* U11, U13, U18 age divisions play in the Squamish House League with all games in Squamish on Saturdays (except games schedule between Whistler & Pemberton)

* U7 & U9 Fall Jamboree in October � details to be announced

 

Spring Season: Mid April to June

* Practices once a week, games on Saturdays (no games Victoria Day long weekend)

* All age groups participate in Green River League and alternate weekend play in Whistler or Pemberton.

Pemberton Referee Program

Pemberton Youth Soccer is continuing to expand our referee program to increase available referees for the fall and spring seasons.  We have been fortunate to have in our community a Provincial level referee, Kiyoshi Koski who will be offering a mentoring referee program for children and adults who have completed the Small Sided Referee Course or who have an expressed interest in refereeing.

 

The program is to assist those in developing their skills, knowledge and confidence to referee small sided games, full games and be assistant referees (linesmen). He will be reviewing policies, procedures and getting everyone involved in expanding our referee program to encourage particiaption in games.

What to bring: soccer gear, water, whistler (if you have one)

Minimum Age: 12 years and up

 


Keep Fueling at Husky! Take along the Pemberton Youth Soccer Husky Rebate Card to help raise funds for the club. Husky Community Rebate Program sends 2% of purchases to our organization. So fill up on gas and snacks at any Husky station. We have received over $1000! Thank you to those participating. I have extra cards available if anyone would like an extra on or did not receive one.

Parent Information:

Parent Information - Please Read Very Carefully

 

* Uniforms Shirts will be issued at the first practice. Please be sure to return your uniform to your coach at the end of the fall season to avoid being invoiced for missing uniform shirt. Uniform Shirts are to be worn for practices (U7 & U9 only) and games ONLY.

* All players are requested to wear black shorts for games.

PYSA requires that all players wear:
* Protective shin pads, covered by knee-length soccer socks
* Soccer boots/cleats.
* Team uniform jersey will be supplied by PYSA (MUST be returned at end of season)
* Black shorts (preferred)

Players should bring a water bottle to practices/games, and younger age groups may like to bring along a healthy snack.

 

Reminder for Under 7 - Under 11 Parent and Guardians:

For safety concerns, please ensure that you drop off and pick up your child on the field on time and that the volunteer coach is aware if you are going to be late or if a guardian or another parent will be picking up your child. As well, if you allow your child to arrive/depart from the soccer fields on their own to please inform the coach.
