R.J. Reynolds High School is located in the heart of Forsyth County and has proudly served the community of Winston-Salem since its opening in 1923. The school is located at 301 N. Hawthorne Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27104. R.J. Reynolds competes in the Central Piedmont 4A Athletic Conference. Other teams in the conference include Mt. Tabor, West Forsyth, North Forsyth, Davie County and North Davidson.
During the past 19 years, the R.J. Reynolds Mens Basketball Team has won more than 365 games, It holds five 4A NC State Championships, in 1949, 1975, 2000, 2001, and 2002.. In 2007, the team finished 20-8, winning the CPC conference title and advancing to the third round of the 4A NC State Western Sectional before being eliminated in a close game by Vance High School, the eventual state runner-up.
The head mens basketball coach is Billy Martin.
