Carpenter Named To All Northwest Team;
Carpenter, Kunz Make All CPC Team

April 12, 2009:  Will Carpenter was named to the Winston-Salem Journal All-Northwest North Carolina Team today.  Matt Kunz received All Northwest North Carolina Honorable Mention.  Both Carpenter and Kunz were named to the 2008-09 All Central Piedmont Confence Team.

Carpenter is a two-time All-Northwest selection and a two-time All-Central Piedmont 4-A selection.   On March 26th, he was named to the 2009 All Forsyth County Team by the Winston-Salem Chronicle for the second year in a row.

Last year, while at East Forsyth, Kunz was name to the Metro 4-A All Conference Team.  Both Carpenter and Kunz have committed to play at Lenoir-Rhyne and plan to sign a letter-of-intent later this month.

"One thing Will brought was leadership to the team, and we were a better team with him on the floor," Coach Billy Martin said. "The chemistry was there with him on the floor. He could definitely score from inside and outside and can put it on the floor for his size, which I thought was a plus. He stretched a lot of defenses. I think that was one of his strengths, that he was a competitor. He loved to get in there and compete, and he wants to win every time
