Tournament Success

The Saline Storm won the Triple Crown Downriver Fall Classic, beating a solid Michigan Blue Jays team 6-5 in the final game. This was the Storm's first tournament win for the 2010 season and its 6th championship overall. Game ended with a two run inside-the-park home run. What a game! This was a complete team effort as every kid contributed to our championship.

The Saline Storm is the AAA team for 12U in Saline. We are a team that will compete at the highest level in Michigan and the Midwest in 2010, including the Cooperstown Dream Park tournament the week of July 31st. Our ultimate goal is to develop players and a team that will allow Saline high school to maintain its status as one of the top high school teams in the state. We feel this is done through continued hard work, dedication, teaching of fundamentals and good character and being competitive not only at the community level but also the state and regional level. Besides Cooperstown in 2010, we plan to qualify for Disney in 2011.

We are excited to have Coach Chris Harrison from MSA join our team as our private trainer and Coach Guenther as an advisor to our kids. Coach Harrison, former UM head baseball coach and owner of MSA instruction will work closely with our team to help continue the develop our players to play at the highest level. Coach Guenther will be a team advisor and will also help in the training of our kids. Coach Guenther has many years of experience in working with kids playing on a national level. Both coaches will bring a wealth of experience for our kids to help prepare them for high school.
