14U Seminoles New Star Players Kozak and Prestemon

Seminoles Alec Kozak (photo left) and Matt Prestemon (photo right) are both big additions to the 2010 Seminoles National Team. Kozak will be the teams starting short stop and will hit at the top of the batting order. Prestemon stands 6'0 feet tall and has the potential to be a prolific power hitter in the middle of the Seminoles high powered offense. Both players will also be key members to the starting pitching rotation and will star on the National level. Starting on opening day in Florida on February 12th!

Seminoles Star Players Conroyd and Fisher

Reece Conroyd (Photo Left) and Andrew Fisher (Photo Right) are ready to have a great 2010 season. Conroyd will be the Seminoles starting catcher featuring a canyon for a throwing arm, which will make it tough to run on him. A very talented all around player that will also hit for power and drive in a lot of runs at the plate. Fisher is one of the teams most versitle players that can play the out field and the infield at a very high level. In 2009 Andrew had a very strong year at the plate and is expected to be even more productive at the plate this season.

Seminoles Pitchers Frankie Farry and Alec Kozak combine to throw a no hitter in the Seminoles 8-0 victory against the Tinley Park Bobcats.

Congratualations to Seminole star pitchers Frankie Farry and Alec Kozak on throwing a no hitter in Saturday October 10th victory against Tinley Park. Both pitchers were outstanding in the teams 8th consecutive victory. Great defense from 3rd baseman Ben Browdy and right fielder Eric Tucker helped preserve the no hitter. The offense was lead by Seminoles catcher Reece Conroyd and center fielder Tony Giannini. The win clinched 1st Place in the Fall League with a perfect record of 8-0. The Seminoles will play two more games next week at Flyers Stadium to complete the 2009 Fall League schedule. Seminoles Pitching Dominates In 12 to 1 Victory

Seminoles pitching dominates in a 12-1 victory against the GABA Rebels. Seminoles left handed pitcher Tyler Nemec recorded the win throwing three very strong shut out innings. Tyler was in complete control throwing all of his pitches for strikes at anytime in the count. The offense was lead by Jason Shaltiel (who delivered his second consecutive 3 for 3 game and also played solid defense at second base) and Ben Browdy had the game winning 2 run double in the first inning and was also 4 for 7 in both victories. Seminoles captain Frankie Farry continues to impress at 3rd Base with solid foot work, range, and a rocket for an arm making every play in the field. Stay Tuned!!! Next Game is Friday night September 18th vs Oak Lawn Lightning at 7:15 at Flyers Stadium!!!



Seminoles Impress in season opening Victory!!!

The 14U Seminoles National Team starts the 2009/2010 season at Flyers Stadium, with a very impressive victory. The Seminoles won their Fall League opener 12-7 against the Fox Valley Royals. New star infielder Ben Browdy (photo left) is one of six new star players on the National roster. Browdy will be one of the teams top all around players. In the opening game victory the offense was lead by new Seminoles star catcher Reece Conroyd (2 for 3 with 3 big RBI's) Jason Shaltiel (3 for 3 including an rbi double) and Tony Giannini (2 for 3) Also, the defense was brilliant lead by shortstop Alec Kozak and 1st Baseman Brenden Ryan. The Seminoles will play a total of 10 games at Flyers Stadium this September and October. The winter schedule will consist of professional training and practices to get ready for the 2010 season. The 2010 season will start in Cocoa Beach, Florida in February at the President's Day Challenge National Tournament over President's Day weekend. Stay Tuned for many more updates!!!


Justin Durante Wins 2009 Glove Glove Award!!!

Congratulations to Seminoles Team Captain Justin Durante on winning one of the teams two Glove Glove Awards for the 2009 season. Durante won the award for his outstanding defense at 1st Base and Shortstop all season long. Seminoles star outfielder Ryan Suwanski won the teams other Gold Glove Award for his great outfield defense. Stay Tuned for many more updates!!!

2009 Awards Announced!!!

Frankie Farry (left) wins the teams Co MVP and CY Young Awards. Frankie was the winning pitcher is two of the teams tournament championship games. Jason Shaltiel (right) was the 2009 homerun leader hitting 2 game winning walk off homeruns this season. One of those homeruns was at the CABA World Series in Indianapolis. Check the Awards section for all the award winners.

13U Seminoles Go 5-0 And Win The Northbrook 4th Of July Tournament!!!

Congratulations to the 13U Seminoles on winning the Northbrook 4th of July Tournament with a perfect 5-0 record. The Seminoles defeated Vernon Hills by a score of 8-2 in the semi final game lead by great pitching from winning pitcher Ryan Suwanski. Outfielder Tyler Nemec made the defensive play of the game throwing out a runner from deep rightfield trying to score on a fly out. The offense was lead by Jason Shaltiel (3 for 3 with a HR) Anthony Calcagno (3 for 4 with a HR) and Tyler Marcheshi (2 for 3 with 2 rbi's) In the championship game the Seminoles dominated from start to finish with a 8-4 victory over the Glenview Blaze. Winning pitcher Frankie Farry pitched 4 strong innings. Great defense was played in the championship game from outfielder Tony Giannini and infielders Jake Jemmi and Andrew Fisher. The offense was lead by 2nd baseman Jason Shaltiel (3 for 4 and a total of 9 for 15 with 3 HR's and 10 rbi's for the entire tournament) Anthony Calcagno (3 for 4) and Tony Gianinni (2 for 3 including a big rbi single) It was a great team effort by everyone to contribute to another championship!!! 


13U Seminoles Go 3-0 at Northbrook Tournament and are the #1 Seed going into Sunday's Playoff Round!!!


The Seminoles go a perfect 3-0 in the Northbrook Invitational tournament and take the #1 seed going into Sunday's Playoff Round. The Seminoles won a 4-3 thriller over New Trier in the tournament opening game lead by the clutch hitting from Jason Shaltiel. In the sixth inning Shaltiel delivered a big 3 run homerun over the left field fence. Also, great defense in the victory from outfielder Tyler Nemec and shortstop Andrew Fisher. The Seminoles then went on to two more convincing victories over Northbrook and Buffalo Grove to go a perfect 3-0 going into Sunday's playoff round. Seminoles 13U Team Wins Their 35th and 36th Games of the Year with back to back convincing wins at Flyers Stadium.

Big wins 14-4 over the Tinley Park Bulldogs and 17-2 against the Tri City Titans on Monday June 29th and Tuesday June 30th. The Seminoles offense was lead by Chandler Meseberg who was 4 for 4 including hitting a HR and driving in 7 runs. Ryan Suwanski, Tony Giannini and Andrew Fisher continue their strong hitting with clutch hits in both impressive victories. Next up the Northbrook Invitational Tournament over the 4th of July. Seminoles Win Flyers Stadium Season Opener against the Illinois Indians.

Seminoles win DH against the Indians at Schaumburg Flyers Stadium. Winning pitcher Jason Shaltiel pitched a strong 3 innings and continues to impress pitching from the 60.6 foot mound dimensions. Jason currently has a 3-0 record as a starting pitcher. Seminoles star shortstop Justin Durante lead the offense going 5 for 5 in the DH including 5 RBI's and continues to be one of the teams top hitters throughout the first month of the season.

13U Seminoles go 4-1 and Take 2nd Place At CABA Tournament at Ho Chunk!!!
Over Mother's Day weekend at the Ho Chunk Sports Complex, the Seminoles went 3-0 in pool play with impressive wins over the Mokena Dragons, Milwaukee Baseball Academy, and the Valpo Vipers. In game 1 against Mokena, the Noles got strong pitching from Jason Shaltiel and Ryan Suwanski. Both pitchers dominated in the 4-3 victory. In game 2, the Seminoles bats erupted and defeated a good Milawaukee team 9-4. The offense was lead by Chandler Meseberg, Jason Shaltiel, and Andrew Fisher. Great pitching from Eli Greenspon and Jake Jemmi. In game 3, against Valpo the Seminoles offense was led by Justin Durante who had 2 big hits in the victory. Also, Tony Giannini had a big double, Frankie Farry had a 2 run double, and Jason Shaltiel had a triple in the win. Durante also pitched well and earned the win on the mound and Tyler Nemec pitched well in relief to finish the game. The Seminoles earned the #1 seed going into the playoff round against the previously undefeated White Sox Ace team. The Seminoles broke open a tight game with a successful bases loaded squeeze bunt from Tony Giannini and then went on to a 9-3 victory. Tyler Marcheschi also delivered a big hit and played solid outfield defense in the victory. Seminoles star pitcher Frankie Farry was the winning pitcher and went the distance to record the victory. In the championship game it was another classic game with the Region Redbirds holding on to a 5-4 victory. The Seminoles in their 3rd game of the day played great baseball into the late hours nearing midnight. Jason Shaltiel had two big hits in the championship game including a two run triple to cut the lead to 5-4 late in the game.  Chandler Meseberg and Justin Durante led the teams strong defensive at shortstop and at catcher all game. Great pitching from Seminoles lefthander Tyler Nemec to keep the game close. Another great showing by the Seminoles and consectutive championship game appearances on back to back Sunday's. Congratulations to the entire team for another great accomplishment.

13U Seminoles Win Elgin Invitational Tournament Championship!

The Seminoles go a perfect 4-0 to win the Elgin Invitational Tournament. Outstanding pitching performances in the victories by Jake Jemmi, Frankie Farry, Ryan Suwanski, and Anthony Calcagno. The offense was led by lead off hitter Andrew Fisher, Chandler Meseberg, Justin Durante, and Jason Shaltiel.   Andrew Fisher had 5 hits and set the table all tournament in the lead off spot. Jason Shaltiel had a 3 hit game in the tournament opener and played a gold glove 3rd base in the championship game. Also, outfielder Tony Giannini played great defense in each game and also delivered some key hits. In the title game ace pitcher Frankie Farry threw 4 dominating shutout innings and also had 2 big rbi doubles in the championship victory. The Seminoles dominated all tournament scoring 40 runs in the 4 victories. Stay Tuned for more updates!

13U Seminoles go 2-1 in opening season tournament in Ohio.

The Seminoles start the 2009 season with a 2-1 record at the Advantage Sports March Tournament in Ohio. The Seminoles were lead by outstanding pitching performances by Frankie Farry and Jake Jemmi in the victories. In the teams only loss Anthony Calcagno also impressed on the mound only allowing one earned run in 4 innings against a very good Ohio Force team. The game was tied 3-3 going into the bottom of the sixth before the Ohio Force broke the game open with a big inning. The Seminoles offense was lead by Ryan Suwanski (3 for 3 in game 2) and Andrew Fisher who was on base all day long. The Seminoles pitching staff recorded 8 consecutive scoreless innings to start the season. Great defense by centerfielder Tony Giannini helped the 8 inning scoreless streak. On Sunday all games including the playoff rounds were cancelled due to rain. This was a good start to the 2009 season especially considering it's still March. Stay tuned for many more updates! Seminoles Open the 2009 Season in Cincinnati, OH.

The 13U Seminoles open their 2009 season on March 27th participating in the Advantage Sports National March Madness Tournament in Cincinnati, OH. This tournament will feature top teams from 4 different states. The Seminoles will participate in a total of 12 tournaments in 2009, including hosting two big tournaments at their home field Flyers Stadium (Alexian Field). Seminoles Invitational and Seminoles Classic Tournament Sold Out In Record Time!!!

The inaugural Seminoles Invitational and Seminoles Classic Tournaments at Flyers Stadium filled up their slots in a matter of days after the tournaments were posted. To find out who's in it, lookup the tournament entrants page. If you didn't get in it, there's still the Seminoles Slugfest National tournament. But don't wait, these tournaments fill up quickly.

Seminoles Announce 25 Home Games on the 2009 Schedule at Alexian Field-Flyers Stadium!

Schaumburg Seminoles will again host games at Alexian Field home of  the Schaumburg Flyers. All seven Seminole Teams will host many games at Flyers Stadium in 2009. Also the 13U and 14U Seminoles will be hosting the Seminoles Invitational Tournament at Flyers Stadium on May 15-17. Registration for this tournament will be available soon. Stay Tuned!

The 13U Seminoles Team Roster Announced!
Congratulations to all 13 players that have been selected to represent the 2009 13U Schaumburg Seminoles Team. The Seminoles organization would like to thank all players that competed and tried out for the team. The 2009 13U Seminoles Team will participate in 10 tournaments next season including the Cincy Flames Classic Tournament, Seminoles Slugfest National Tournament, the CABA State Tournament, and the CABA World Series located in Indiana. The team features many great players led by three of the top all around players in the state Justin Durante, Frankie Farry and Ryan Suwanski. The Seminoles impressive professional coaching staff has also been announced. Seminoles President Russ Gangler will be the Head Coach and Todd Zasadil will be the Assistant Head Coach. With all the programs national success and popularity the Seminoles will feature 7 Teams in their program in 2009. Stay Tuned for updates on the complete 2009 Team Roster!
