1/19: Hi guys - great news - we have a start date for the 2010 season. The league will start April 11 and run until June 20. June 20 is the last day if there is a rainout during the season. If there is not a rainout day, the last day will be June 13.

We'll have a week off on Memorial Day and each team will also get one Sunday off that they will chose (in advance). In the end, there are eight weeks of play, totaling 16 games. Our cost will be determined when we know how many teams will be playing - but expect the cost to be similiar to last year.

Other news:
There will a league day at Angles starting at 9 p.m. Friday, March 19. The purpose of the event will be to bring in new players to meet returning players, learn about the league, have a few drinks and just have a good time. We're asking all returning players to wear their softball shirts/jerseys from recent years. We'll have an information booth set up and answer any questions you may have.

The following day from 1 to 3 p.m. at a field to be determined, we’ll bring out new players to scrimmage so players without a team can meet coaches and get paired up before the season begins.

Get ready for the Easter Bonnet Classic! The Sooner State Softball Association will be hosting a tournament for teams across the country Easter Weekend 2011. We are early in the planning stages but please let your teams and friends across the country know so they can mark their calendars.

We are having a board meeting at 7 p.m. Feb. 18 at the Copa. As always, the meeting is open to the public.

At 7 p.m. March 4 at the Copa there will be a mandatory coaches meeting to discuss the 2010 season.
