LINFIELD JV---16 KNIGHTS----0
Good game Knights! We had a lot of new players joining us for this game and just about all had an impact. Unfortuntely, a few mis-plays on offense kept us out of the endzone however, the defense was resilient!! So far the only OFL team to keep Linfield under 20pts.
We are all looking forward to making an impact in the OFL for the 2010 season with our new player additions!

13 KNIGHTS REPRESENTED IN ALL-STAR GAME!!!
The Oregon Football League all star team defeated the Washington Football League all stars this past Saturday in Wenatchee WA. 21-13. The Knights had a league high 13 players represented for the Oregon League in the game. The OFL was led by Knights QB Robin Kneble who answered the call on the Oregon team's first possession after the Washington team drove 80 yard to score on their first possession. Kneble connected on a 26 yard TD pass to Vancouver Viper's WR. Andrew Johnson for the OFL's first score (ext pt no good, bobbled hold). Kneble then connected on a 80 yd pass play to Klamath Falls WR. Sergio Jefferson for another OFL score, 2pt conversion was good on a Kneble to Springfield Buzzards TE Chuck Thompsen for a 14-7 led at half. The OFL scored again when OFL special team MVP Sergio Jefferson scored on a punt return for 74 yards. OFL 21-WFL-7. The WFL kicker connected on 2 field goals of 36 & 44 yards, to try to keep it close, but the OFL Defense was just too much for the WFL not allowing them inside their own 50 for the rest of the game. Game MVP went to Klamath Falls player Sergio Jefferson. Also, the Champion OFL team, the Portland Monarchs defeated the WFL champions Wenatchee Rams 32-21 following the all-star game this past Saturday, an Oregon Sweep!
Knights represented the the OFL-WFL all-star game were: Starting LB's Chuck Conner & Julian Lennon, RB Tyler Walker, QB Robin Kneble, SS Chip McIrvin, DT John Keiwert, WR James Snyder, TE Jeff Randall, Corner-Jonny Jones, OT Brent Lowman, Punter-Keith Fuchs, DE Jake Savage and Offense guard David Stidham. The OFL all-stars were coached by Knights head coach Bion Mills and Springfield Buzzard's head coach Wyatt Ledbetter. Knight head coach Mills in now 3-0 coaching OFL all-star games..
COMEBACK FALLS SHORT!!
Knights ended their overall disappointing season on a high note. After opening the game vs. the Eugene Outlaws this past Sat. with arguably the worst performance of year, the second half was a whole different ballgame.
After being down at half 30-7, the Knights rallied, scoring 29 points in the second half and holding the Outlaws to only 8 points. With only a 2 point conversion to tie the game with 7:45 to play, the Knights were unable to convert and the Outlaws held onto the ball for the rest of the game and kept the Knights high flying second half offense off the field.
Thank you to all the fans that believed in us and stayed to watch a heck of a ballgame!!
Thank you Sponsors, Fans, Oregon Heat All-Star Cheerleaders, Rolling Thunder BBQ, Roxanne and Chuck Conner, South Umpqua H.S. Football Team, South Umpqua High School, Virgil Flemming, Ben McNeil, and all our coaches and players!!!!
The Knights will hold their end of year banquet at the Relay For Life @ UCC, Friday, July 24th 6:00 pm.... Pot luck, bring your family and friends and own silverware and drinks...Everyone is invited!!!!
