Varsity takes third in
Curtis C. Menard Tournament
After a bad loss against Diamond (the eventual tournament winners) we were relegated to the third place playoff game. The varsity squad pulled themselves together and played like a single cohesive unit to trounce the Kenai Cardinals six goals to two. Well done guys!
The tournament was well organized and despite initial delays caused by inclement weather, everything went off without a hitch. Lisa Humphries from Houston did an outstanding job of everything! Next time you see her, take some time out and thank her for a most enjoyable weekend.

When I first took the job of maintaining the web wite, I promised myself that I would give equal coverage to both Varsity an JV. So, what did I do? With all the tournament excitement, I completely forgot the JV - Tok game on Saturday. Despite a one point loss, it sounded like a good game. I apologize for not covering the game and will do better in the future.

Wasilla / South schedule change
The Friday games against South at the WSC have been rescheduled due to a double booking with the Avalanche.
The JV game will start at 4:30 pm and the Varsity game at 6:00 pm.
Admission to the high school games will be regular price ($2.00 for student/$5.00 for adult); however, producing you high school ticket stub will entitle you to watch the Jr Avs play the Wenatchee Wild at 7:00 pm at a discount. $1.00 for students and $3.00 for adults. Players from both teams (South and Wasilla) will be able to stay for the Avalanche game free of charge.
