  • Bring to every practice:  cleats, water, a light & dark shirt, or reversible.

Pre-Season To-Do's

  • if you are new to Nathan Hale, Parents/Guardians create an account on Final Forms and then register your player:  https://halehs.seattleschools.org/student-life/athletics/

  • All of Final Forms must be completed and the sports physical done and uploaded before your student begins practice on 8/21.  Please complete at least 24 hours prior to first practice.

  • Need a Sports Physical?  Now is the time for incoming and current students to schedule with the Teen Health Center at Nathan Hale!  Call (206) 302-1840 to schedule your appointment.

  • Have questions or need assistance with the ASB fee or Final Forms?  Email to the Hale Athletic / Assistant Secretary Maria Gutierrez:  mjgutierrez@seattleschools.org

** If your player attended Nathan Hale last year, you still need to review and update the Final Forms paperwork at least 24 hours prior to the first coached practice.

Communication

Our current season email list comes from Final Forms ... Another good reason for you to register!  We will communicate by weekly email to players and families and the players will also receive messages on Slack from their coaches.  For general Bx ultimate questions email:  nhhsboysultimate@gmail.com

Registration & Fees - There are several places to register & pay.  Here’s the summary!

1) Final Forms:  https://halehs.seattleschools.org/student-life/athletics/
2) DiscNW – Registration Details will be posted in August

3) Nathan Hale Player Fee.  The player fee covers our coaching and equipment costs for the fall season.  If you are able, please consider "rounding up" in support of our player access fund - which ensures any student has access to the team and to a uniform, regardless of their ability to pay.

The 2023 Fall Season JV and Varsity Player Fee is TBD.  Anticipate at least $200 plus the cost of team jerseys.

How to Pay  (per player cost info will be sent after tryouts)

OR mail a check to:

**Please note “Boys Ultimate” on the check memo.

Financial Assist

It is important to the mission of NHHS Ultimate that all interested committed students can play, regardless of ability to pay the fees.  Reach out through nhhsboysultimate@gmail.com to request financial assistance information.

Volunteer!!

Ultimate is considered a “club sport” in high school, which means our teams do not receive funding or service from Seattle Public Schools or WIAA.  Many hands make light work!   If you would like to help our Hale Ultimate team on any level, please reach out to nhhsboysultimate@gmail.com.

** Our biggest parent volunteer need for the Bx season is drivers to games.**

We don’t have access to school bus service!  As the season unfolds, please watch for emails and sign-up genius links to schedule drivers.  Most of the time the Varsity players carpool themselves with student drivers.  The highest need for parent drivers falls on the JV team.  Game times typically are in the late afternoon near the end of, or after, the school day.  Games are played all over the city.

Typical Volunteer Needs

  • Team Admin. to provide background support for the coaches and keep parents updated.

  • Uniform Coordinator - orders jerseys for the team in coordination with coach early in the season.

  • Fundraising Lead - works with team to coordinate one fundraiser per season.

  • Website Manager - Make sure Metroleague-Nathan Hale website has updated info.

  • Transportation Coordinator - Organizes carpooling to games for JV team.  We've used SignUp Genius in the past. Check with coach before away games and post a sign-up so that families can see what is needed for away games.

  • NH Sports booster rep – attend monthly meetings and be liaison to coaches and team.

  • If you just want to help with one task at a time (as opposed to taking on a role), please let us know

SHOW SOME LOVE!! ... Thank you for your generosity and support!
