Captains practice These pre-season practices are designed for players to warm up with peers prior to the coached season. No parent or coach will be present to oversee the practice. Play at your own risk. Dates, time, and location: TBD (watch https://metroleague-nathanhale.org/ for updates in August)
Tryouts & Coached Practice begin 8/21/23
Pre-Season To-Do's
** If your player attended Nathan Hale last year, you still need to review and update the Final Forms paperwork at least 24 hours prior to the first coached practice.
Communication Our current season email list comes from Final Forms ... Another good reason for you to register! We will communicate by weekly email to players and families and the players will also receive messages on Slack from their coaches. For general Bx ultimate questions email: nhhsboysultimate@gmail.com 1) Final Forms: https://halehs.seattleschools.org/student-life/athletics/ 3) Nathan Hale Player Fee. The player fee covers our coaching and equipment costs for the fall season. If you are able, please consider "rounding up" in support of our player access fund - which ensures any student has access to the team and to a uniform, regardless of their ability to pay. The 2023 Fall Season JV and Varsity Player Fee is TBD. Anticipate at least $200 plus the cost of team jerseys.
How to Pay (per player cost info will be sent after tryouts) To pay the team fee by PayPal go here: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=2DSP9PYFU4XUU Nathan Hale Sports Boosters PO Box 25853 Seattle, WA. 98165. **Please note “Boys Ultimate” on the check memo.
Financial Assist It is important to the mission of NHHS Ultimate that all interested committed students can play, regardless of ability to pay the fees. Reach out through nhhsboysultimate@gmail.com to request financial assistance information.
Volunteer!! Ultimate is considered a “club sport” in high school, which means our teams do not receive funding or service from Seattle Public Schools or WIAA. Many hands make light work! If you would like to help our Hale Ultimate team on any level, please reach out to nhhsboysultimate@gmail.com.
We don’t have access to school bus service! As the season unfolds, please watch for emails and sign-up genius links to schedule drivers. Most of the time the Varsity players carpool themselves with student drivers. The highest need for parent drivers falls on the JV team. Game times typically are in the late afternoon near the end of, or after, the school day. Games are played all over the city.
