To Chandler High Basketball Fans and Supporters,

Last Tuesday afternoon I made a huge mistake in judgment as the head coach of the Chandler Boys Basketball team.  My role is one of a leader and role model to young men and as such I should have realized the mistake I made.  I would like to apologize to the district and school administrators of Chandler High School and to all parents, supporters, my coaches, and most importantly to my players for the mistake that I made.  I put a list in my office window in the boys locker room of Chandler Basketball players who had no longer wished to be part of the Varsity team.  It was not my intent to defame or embarrass anyone but unfortunately it did.  I am sorry for the result of this list.  This was a decision that I did not think through clearly and if I could take it back I would, I am truly sorry.

My intent was to build up the team morale and the team unity with those players remaining on the roster.  I hope you will accept my apology and understand that I would never do anything to hurt or belittle any of the players who have played for me over the years or will play for me in the future.  It is an honor to be the head basketball coach at Chandler High School and to have coached so many great kids in the past at Chandler and Trevor Browne High School.  I will do my best in the future to improve upon my role as a leader and mentor to the players who choose to be part of our basketball program.  Please feel free to call me if you would like to talk further about this incident.  My door is always open to talk with parents and supporters of Chandler High Basketball.
