Thank you for visiting the site of the Kansas City Panthers minor league professional football team.  There are no million dollar contracts and no million dollar sponsors.  These men simply play for the ultimate love of the game.  Many have full time jobs, families and are active in their respected communities and still find time and energy for practices and games.  As we end our 13th season and prepare for our 14th, we look forward to seeing you in 2010.

If you are interested in playing for the Panthers, we will be conducting tryouts in March.  In order to qualify, you must attend both dates. On 3/6/10 all participants will register and test on the bench press. Ht and Wt will be taken.  On 3/13/10 all participants will be field tested on 40 yrd sprints, short shuttle, one on one drills. This tryout will be video taped.  There is a one time fee of $40 which will cover both days!  Bring cash, money order or cashiers check only.  Bring photo ID, heart and desire.  If you have completed filling out your player application and want to pay your tryout fee now JUST CLICK HERE.  Any participants paying online will receive a Panthers T-Shirt.  Thank you gentlemen and good luck!
  




A.K.A The Bus Driver passed away on October 20, 2009
He was the team bus driver for the Springfield Rifles Semi Pro Football Team and a big supporter of the Semi Pro football world.

I use to talk to him when he would come to KC and on the message boards.  When my program was struggling in the early years, he gave me some very encouraging words.  I will never forget him.  He was a very good man and gentleman.  Semipro football in the Midwest has lost its number one fan.

Even though he was not on the Panthers Staff.  As a tribute and rememberance, his name is added to our web site Wall of fame.  We list all the individuals who have served with the Panthers from day one to now.  Even though he was not living in KC, we feel like he was part of this family too. Rest in peace Bob and thank you for being there for the Rifles, Panthers and Midwest football.  Yours Truly, Jimmie Ross.... 

The entire Panther family will have to wait till next season to see how they will do in the Alliance Football League. But, nine ball players will travel to St. Louis to take part in the AFL All Star Game.  Coach Ross received the phone call asking if any players wanted to participate and the answer was yes.  Coach Ross believes this is a perfect time for some of the guys to get together and discuss next years plans and why the move to another League like the AFL.  The players from left to right are: Linebacker Todd Baune, Receiver Neville Haynes, O lineman DeWayson Thomas, Free Safety Pat Daniels, Linebacker JeRon Love, Receiver DeShawn Hammons, Offensive Center Josh Presler, Defensive End Joe Bane and Runningback Gerald Greenfield.
