Rage lose 26-7 to end season

The Rage traveled down to Kenosha to take on the #4 seed Kenosha Cougars in the first round of the GFL Playoffs on Friday night, and left Kenosha feeling lost and angered. The game started with the Rage missing quite a few players to injury or other reason, but they were going to stand strong and still thought they would win the game. They started off strong after a big opening play by the Cougars the Rage defense held them to no points, then the Rage took over...for 3 plays until the storms came. After and hour and a half rain delay, the skies cleared and football was back on. The Rage struck first on a long TD run by Chuck McGuire. Then the Cougars struck back but missed the XP. The halftime score was 7-6 Rage. But in the second half, a barrage of missed tackles, bad calls by the refs and not blocking the blitzer led to the Rage downfall. This is where we would normally thank the Cougars for their class but they seem not to have much. Blindsiding players after the play is over when you are up 19 with 2 minutes left should not be part of semi-pro football. So as the Rage we are rooting for whoever plays the Cougars next. We would like to thank all of our fans, volunteers, players and families for putting on a great season. we really couldn't have done it without you.

Rage dominate charity work too

The Rage took part in 2010 MS Walk at the Summerfest Grounds. This year we had a bigger team and helped raise a lot of money for the cure. Last year the Rage raised over $3000 for the National MS Society.

Do you like Golf?

The Rage will also be having the South Milwaukee Rage Inaugural Golf Outing on Saturday July 10th at South Hills Country Club in Racine. The cost will be $55 per golfer and that includes 18 holes of golf, motorized cart, hot dog or brat and beer/soda at the turn. We will be raffling off many things on the course and also have door prizes galore. Afterwards everyone will be invited out to one of our sponsor bars. The sponsor is being finalized and more to come on that. A portion of the proceeds from the golf outing will go to Breast Cancer Awareness. So come out and have a good time for a good cause. To register, make a donation, or sponsor a hole please contact Jeff Petrus (Rage CFO and Golf outing coordinator) at jpetrus21@hotmail.com. Deadline to sign up is June 7th, with the money being due June 21st.

Rage to take part in B.E.D. Milwaukee

On July 17th, the Rage will be volunteering their time as security guards at the B.E.D. Milwaukee event put on by Pathfinders. This 3 day bash at Milwaukee's scenic Bradford Beach is to benefit homeless and runaway teens and the Rage are glad to be a part of it.

We are also in the works of having an AWMF(Andrew Wszelaki Memorial Foundation) night at one of our home games. We are still working out the details and will update you when everything is finalized.
