2009 Virginia Baseball Bash


Coaches from around the state of Virginia will convien at Sheraton Richmond West for the Annual Baseball Bash.  The conference is open to all levels of coaches

The VCCS memeber schools will conduct their annual meeting at 12 PM on Saturday June 9th in the lobby at the Sheraton Richmond West.

VCCS to host 7 teams in 2009

The 2009 Season will see long time member Patrick Henry CC move to NJCAA DII and the addition of  Wytheville CC (Wytheville), and Thomas Nelson CC (Hampton) bringing the Conference to 7 teams.  The current plan is to divide the league into two divisions, Eastern & Western, each with a divisional playoff to determine the participants in the VCCS State Tournament.

Western Division will be comprised of Southwest Va CC, Wytheville CC, New River CC, & Danville CC.

Eastern Division will be comprised of Southside Va CC, Rapahannock CC, & Thomas Nelson CC.

Each team will compete in a Home/Home series within their divisions and a single double header agains each of the opposite division for a 18 game conference schedule.

Each teams conference record will be used to determine the seeding for each division Tournament.  The team with the best regular season record will be the 1st seed in the VCCS State Tournament, with the divisional tournament winner to  determine the 2nd seed in the VCCS State Tournament.
