Warren LAX Sponsors 10th Mountain Division

The Warren Area Lacrosse Association recently made the decision to adopt two platoons of soldiers who are currently stationed in Iraq.  Partnering with these platoons will be a community service project for our players this season.

We have adopted two platoons (30 men & women) of soldiers within the 10th Mountain Division.  Our units are from the SBTB, (Sustainment Brigade Troops Battalion).  They are called the Mule Skinners because they used mules when first formed in WWII to supply our fighting forces.  The SBTB is responsible for keeping all combat units supplied with everything needed and defending supply bases from attack.

The platoons are:
HHC SPO1 10th SBTB- Kevin Layne is Platoon leader
HHC SPO2 10th SBTB- Craig Shofield is Platoon Leader.

Both units are at Camp Taji, Iraq, APO AE 09378
