(Whistler) - With a rich tradition of baseball success, the Mount Seymour Red Sox capped off their D5 District championship season by adding the 2009 Sea to Sky Invitational Tournament title to their resume. 2009 Sea to Sky Invitational Tournament 11/12 Champions: Nanaimo Pirates

(Whistler) - The Nanaimo Pirates came, they played, and plundered all the way to the 2009 Sea to Sky Invitational Tournament title. After cruising through the first three preliminary games without much struggle, the Pirates fell victim to a tough West Vancouver squad in a thrilling extra inning frame. But greatness is defined by overcoming adversity; and the Pirates righted the ship and defeated West Vancouver in the title game10-3 to claim the championship trophy.
