Varsity Club Hornets clinch the regular season crown

The Varsity Club clinched first for the regular season with a 12-6 victory over the Mudhens .  This gives the Hornets a bye into the championship game on September 19.

Nick Kibler pitched 8 innings striking out 14 and allowing one earned run.  This earned him his second victory on the year.

Tony Lopez led the Hornets with a stinging 4-4 with a double, 2 RBI's and 2 runs.  Pete Panagos, Nick Kibler, and Doug Fremut also had multi-hit games.  Ben Bialek had 2 RBI's off the bench.

 The Varsity Club Hornets earned their 17th victory of the year.  BJ Klement won his 5th game while striking out 11 in the win.  Justin Fischer had four hits and 3 RBI's.  BJ Klement and Mike Beringer each had 3 hits in the game.
