Welcome to AJAX UTAH FC!
Ajax Utah FC was founded on a commitment to giving the Athlete a developmental path in which they receive the highest level of training and coaching within the four areas of player development for the game of soccer. If a player has been properly trained in all four areas of development, they gain confidence in their abilities and continue to progress as a player at any level of the sport. As confidence and awareness are gained it allows them to be a creative and effective player with or without the ball. As a player starts to understand their role in the game, the love for the game increases.
Ajax Utah FC focuses on all four areas of player development.
1. Technical development:
As a Coerver Coaching partner, Ajax Utah FC is one of the first organizations to bring this type of technical development training on a club wide basis. The trainers will be training players using the Pyramid of Player Development, which consists of six building blocks. These sessions are technically driven and add to the players own advancement in individual skill and moves. Training sessions are done by trainers and not the Coaches. This allows Coaches to be able to evaluate the progress of the players as they observe the training session.
2. Tactical awareness:
Ajax Utah FC is dedicated to improving the players understanding and awareness of their role both on and off the field at each age level (U7 - U18). We have complete learning tracks for each age group and level of play. All practice sessions are planned out for each team based on the level of development. Teams will also learn the different zones of the field and the roles that each player has in those zones.
3. Physical Element
The age and physical characteristics of the players will be considered while developing a conditioning program for the team. Certain exercises should only be incorporated at an age appropriate sessions during youth development. Speed and Agility training will be held during the preseason by our trainers, as the team prepares for the upcoming season. Players and Coaches will receive a conditioning plan to continue throughout the season. This plan will help maintain the player’s fitness level and stamina in order to avoid the plateau that is witnessed in most agility programs.
4. Psycho-social
Ajax Utah FC is one of the first clubs in the area to have a sports psychologist that works with the players on the mental side of the game. The players will learn about team concepts and what that means for them as a player in the Ajax Utah FC system. Pre-game preparation will be addressed and how the visual awareness plays into the performance of the player during each game. Players will meet for age specific session during the preseason, and throughout the season, we will have team and individual goal setting sessions. This is where the player learns the mental side of the game and to keep focus throughout the game. For example, if the player’s focus changes during the game, what are the techniques to get back into the teams game plan?
Player Tracking:
Ajax Utah FC feels that Players, Parents, Trainers and Coaches should be aware of the player’s development level at all times. It is also important to have a training path that is right for each individual player’s needs and goals in the sport. This allows small corrections and adjustments to their learning plan, and can help to improve skills quicker. The Ajax Utah Player tracking system will provide the ability to identify each position and time played during the game and what games the player has played. The Coach and training staff then have the ability to assess and evaluate the players on these skill sets. The statistics will be available through the tracking system which indicates the attempts on goal, how many goals, assists and penalties for each player. Ajax Utah feels if all those involved in the player’s development plan have the same information and work together, player’s will have a great experience here at Ajax Utah FC.
Amsterdamsche Football Club Ajax (English pronounciation: [I:axe}, also AFC Ajax or Ajax Amsterdam, is a Dutch professional football club based in Amsterdam. Historically, Ajax (named after the legendary Greek hero) is the most successful club in the Netherlands, with 32 Eredivisie titles and 18 KNVB Cups. Along with PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord, it is one of the country's "big three" clubs who have dominated Dutch football, as well as being the only three clubs that have never been relegated from the top division.
Ajax is historically one of the most successful clubs in the world; according to the IFFHS, Ajax were the seventh-most successful European club of the 20th century.[2] The club is one of the five teams that has earned the right to keep the European Cup and to wear a multiple-winner badge; they won consecutively in 1971–1973. In 1972, they completed the continental treble by winning the Eredivisie, KNVB Cup, and the European Cup. Ajax's last international trophies were the 1995 Intercontinental Cup and the 1995 Champions League, where they defeated Milan in the final; they lost the 1996 Champions League final on penalties to Juventus.
Ajax is also one of three teams to win the continental treble and the Intercontinental Cup in the same season/calendar year;[3] This was achieved in the 1971–72 season.[4] Ajax, Juventus, Bayern Munich, and Chelsea are the four clubs to have won all three major UEFA club competitions.[5] They have also won the Intercontinental Cup twice, the 1991–92 UEFA Cup, as well as the Karl Rappan Cup, a predecessor of the UEFA Intertoto Cup in 1962.[6] Ajax plays at the Amsterdam Arena, which opened in 1996. They previously played at De Meer Stadion and the Amsterdam Olympic Stadium (for international matches).
