Team Information

The St. Louis University Men’s Club Hockey Team is a Division II member of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) that comprises over 150 members’ teams nationwide. The ACHA is split into four separate regions, the Northeast, Southeast, Central and Western. Saint Louis University plays in the Central Region that is considered one of the strongest divisions in the country and has produced several National Champions.  If you would like further information about the ACHA please visit their website here: ACHA.

The Men’s Club Hockey Team competes during the regular season in the Mid-America Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA). The league is a combination of 24 teams from Central Regions divided between two divisions – Gold and Silver.  St. Louis University competes in the Gold division which consists of 10 teams.  The MACHA is considered one of the premier leagues in the country which offers a very competitive brand of hockey and with member teams consistently being ranked high in the nation. If you would like more information about the MACHA you can visit their web page here: MACHA.

The Club hockey team is run by the players who each year elect officers to perform various duties such as budgeting, recruiting, fundraising, securing lodging for road trips, website and game day activities. We generally have two practices a week and play games on the weekend.  The travels out of town by charter bus 3-4 times per season.  We practice and play home games at the Webster Groves Ice Arena, located about 10 minutes from campus. The philosophy of the team is simple: work hard, have fun, and most importantly, your studies and academics come first.
