Welcome to Frank Quilici Field, the summer home of the Minneapolis Grays Baseball Club. The field is named in honor of former Minnesota Twins player and manager Frank Quilici, who has spent timeless hours supporting and developing baseball in the City of Minneapolis.
One of the major goals of Mayor RT Rybak was helping develop the Shingle Creek area of North Minneapolis, one of the first things planned was a brand new adult baseball field for kids and adults to use. With help from the Minnesota Twins RBI program and the City of Minneapolis, Phase Two of the Frank Quilici Field was completed in the summer of 2012. With the beautiful trees and Shingle Creek running by just outside the outfield wall, this is a picture perfect baseball diamond. Along with new picnic plaza, baseball cages and cooking areas along the field it has become a hit with neighbors and ballplayers alike.
Stop by a lazy Sunday this summer and check out the Grays in action on of the cities best baseball fields. Who knows? You may even see Frank Quilici milling around and catching a game.
