River Ridge Jr Knights appoint 

NEW 6th Grade Head Coach

RRTC would like to extend a Knights welcome to our new 6th Grade Head Coach, Scott Rutherford! With 17 years of experience coaching youth sports, Scott Rutherford is dedicated to developing young athletes in football, soccer, basketball, and baseball. From coaching U5 to U12 teams, he has played a vital role in teaching fundamental skills and fostering a love for the game. For the past four years, Scott has been a key figure in the CYFA River Ridge Knights football program, serving two years as an assistant coach before stepping into the head coaching role. 

Passionate about football, he takes pride in introducing the sport to young athletes, emphasizing fundamentals, teamwork, and personal growth. His coaching philosophy centers on helping players maximize their potential while instilling discipline, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for sports. Scott continues to be a dedicated mentor, shaping future athletes and leaders through a commitment to skill development and a positive team environment.

Early Bird Registration February 23 thru April 28

2nd Chance Registration April 29 thru June 30

LAST CHANCE Registration July 1 thru date of the Wednesday after 2nd game

What River Ridge Junior Knights Provides to the player:

Riddell or Schutt High School Rated & Approved Helmet

Middle School or High School Rated and Approved Shoulder Pads

1 pair of Practice Pants

1 Practice Jersey

2 pairs of Game ONLY Pants (Fall Season Only)

1 Reversable (Home or Away) Game ONLY Jersey (Fall Season only)

Player Pack includes:

3 Practice Shirts, 2 pairs of shorts, Sweatpants, Hoodie,

Guardian Cap (learn about the Guardian cap by clicking HERE), 

Equipment Bag (Upcoming 6^th graders or new players ONLY)

PLEASE NOTE: Jerseys, Shoulder Pads, Helmet, Guardian Cap, and Pants are held by deposit and returned to program at the end of the season.

Guardian Caps will be kept for High School use for all 8th graders.

Junior Knights Players will need to provide:

Football Cleats for Games & Practice in Navy, Black or White (No Metal Cleats)

Padded Girdle (worn under the practice/game pants..see example below)
